Hayle hotel

We have stayed at Premier Inn, Hayle a few times before, so expected a good stay. On this occassion we were very disappointed that the air circulation unit in the room made a constant excruciating noise which would have prevented us sleeping. We reported this to reception and asked for a change of room. They said there were no rooms available. I managed to locate the isolation switch in the ceiling and turned it off. This meant the bathroom was then not ventilated and we had to open the window and had to endure the traffic on the A30. The room felt tired with the laminate peeling off the desk etc. Although we booked the room for two people there were only one bath and one hand towel provided in the bathroom. We expected one of each for each of us.

Positives: Staff friendly Got room and breakfast for a good price. Negatives: Tired and dated hotel throughout, reception, hallways, stairs and rooms. Dirty, not vacuumed, dusty, cobwebs, toilet bowl dirty, no air con, window doesn’t open very wide! Sheets with marks on. Lumpy old pillows. Eatery (Loggans Moor ) for breakfast was also tired and grubby.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. The room looked freshly painted and smelt really clean. Reading the recent reviews....we had no problem. Older style premier inn for sure, but well kept up on top on. Reception was brilliant and service was 1000%

Amazing staff, great location with access to lots of local places and right next to a great place to eat. Definitely felt safe and comfortable in the hotel, the receptionists are approachable and the room was immaculate. Will definitely stay here again.

Clean and tidy hotel, but clearly quite old and tired. Over bath shower, with extremely slippery bath. Be careful! Beefeater closes very promptly at 8.45, but there is a McDonald’s near, if that is your thing. Used to break journey, wouldn’t use for a longer stay.
