"Sadly did not meet expectations."
Stayed for 3 nights in room 323. Initial impressions were good but the room was on the side closest to the Majestic Hotel’s terrace, meaning a wedding there on the Saturday night had very loud music until late on, stopping us from sleeping. Might be worth requesting a quiet room if you’re staying at a weekend! What really let the hotel down was the lack of cleaning- both mornings I requested our room to be cleaned, and despite assurances it would be, both evenings we returned to a room which had not been touched. Even clean towels were not provided despite assurances they would be. I complained but have not received any response. Whilst the staff were lovely, there seemed to be very few of them and this definitely impacted our stay. It was difficult to get anybody’s attention as they were doing multiple jobs at once. Food in the restaurant was ok, but many menu items and drinks were unavailable. Wait times for food were also very long. Such a shame as the location is great for exploring Harrogate. Parking was £40 for 72 hours in the conference centre car park adjacent to the hotel.
"Grim"
Avoid this place … there was dirt in the room cobwebs up high the toilet seat had urine stains all around it . There was dust on the lampshades, smell was musty . the car parking is 20 pound for the night . Didn’t stay the night dropped my keycard back off and went elsewhere
"A great place to stay"
The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The rooms were spotless snd comfortable. Breakfast was superb. Previous reviews over the last few days bear no resemblance to our experience.
"Previous Customer Probably not Future Customer"
We have stayed at a number of Premier Inns in the past, including this one. We have, until now, always found them to be clean and comfortable. This was not the case during our recent stay. It was obvious our room had not been properly cleaned for some considerable time. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling, the handwash container was filthy, there was thick dust on the bedhead, windowsill and furniture. It was obvious that the room had not been properly hoovered as there was thick dust and dirt round the bed and castors. There were no pillowcases on the spare pillows. The toilet seat was broken. We reported the toilet seat issue but it took 2 days for a repair to be made. We also reported the other problems, which should have been addressed by housekeeping but were not. The public spaces in the hotel were also in need of a deep clean, the dining room furniture needed a good dust. I would not include the food or drink serving points in this comment - they were always spotless. We were offered a change of room but, as we were only there for 3 nights and the rest of the hotel seemed to be equally neglected, we declined. I have to say Ian was very helpful but it was obvious that there have been cutbacks in housekeeping and that no-one checks the rooms between occupancy. This hotel is in need to a deep clean and refit.
"Room good. Food poor"
Restaurant was poor. Hot puddings were frozen in the middle at dinner. Standing in at the hot food stand fir 30 minutes to be told, we don't have any eggs or bacon left. If we were late down we would have expected this, but we wasn't. They had a lot of other items missing from the menu too
