Southend On Sea (Eastern Esplanade) hotel

Drove 6.5 hours from liverpool to attend my mums funeral the following day. But whrn we arrived we found there was no parking,no restaurant due to building work. And we booked this a while back but nothing on the website.When I expressed my frustrations one of the younger male members of staff gave me the most dirtyiest look ever making me feel uneasy as I have a walking disability. I asked the young male what he was looking at the next thing the older male who must have been in charge told me that he is not allowing me to stay at the premier inn. I asked why he replied your abusing our staff. I replied back one minute your memver of staff gives me the most dirtiest stare ever making me feel uneasy and I am not allowed to ask what he is looking at. The supervisor then turned round and was clear that my wife and I will not be staying there even though we have driven 6.5 hrs been told there is no parking no restaurant facilities and that he does not care if I am attending my mums funeral. After 5 to 6 mins I had to apologise ti the young male who by then had a big smile on his face.But still the supervisor would not let us stay so I apologised to him. Only then did he he apologise back saying he should not have been that quick in his responce and also the tone of his responce.So even though I was not abusive or swearing just frustrated that the Premier inn was late advertising thr work going on I had to apologise just so we could stay. And after returning back to the lremier inn on Tuesday night the following morinh we recieved sad news that my dad also passed away of terminal cancer the day after my mums funeral. So a pretty bad 2 days

Horrible smell in bathroom seeping into main room. No restaurant or bar. Not informed until after booking made. No parking. When we changed rooms w we were stuck in limbo with nothing for most of day until it had been sorted. Issues with key cards. Thdd Ed continental breakfast provided was very poor. Fruit not great & paper cups for the cereal. Uncomfortable bed. Not the best stay at all

I would just like to thank you for employing such amazing staff, (Kevin Night Team Member) I arrived at the Hotel late around 10.15 pm after a four hour drive from the North. I came into the front desk to be greeted with a very, very nice and genuine welcome, Kevin was very efficient in getting me checked in. I asked about parking as I was going to have to park in he Sea life centre and walk back on my own in the dark. Kevin showed me a parking space outside of the Hotel which he knew was not only available but also free to park (Bonus) as I had my young Daughter and partner in the car so this was just perfect. I asked if there was any chance of help with my luggage to my room as I had my daughter in my arms as she had just woken up after the long journey. Kevin was only to happy to assist, once in the room Kevin advised us that he and another team member are on site right through the night and if we needed anything at all just to let him know. This really put me at ease knowing that staff were on through the night. I will finish with a Thank you again Premier Inn for employing such fantastic staff, and an absolute Huge, Massive, Thank you to Kevin. ( I believe he has not been with you long but if the standard of care, customer service and satisfaction is any thing to go by, he is definitely a keeper. Well done Kevin a pleasure to of met you.

Amazing hotel and breakfast. I arrived late and everything was perfect. Thank you

DIABOLICAL! NO RESTAURANT, NO PARKING AND THIS IS PREMIER INN IS BEING ADVERTISED AS HAVING ON-SITE RESTAURANT AND ALLOWING YOU TO BOOK, MISLEADING, MY ROOM HAD NO AIR CON, NO EXTRACTOR IN BATHROOM, I TRIED TO MOVE TO OTHER PREMIER INN DOWN THE ROAD BUT WAS PERSUADED NOT TO, I ASKED FOR A REFUND AND WAS TOLD TO. HECK THE SMALL PRINT AND LAUGHED AT, THIS TOTALLY RUINED MY WEEKEND AND MY ROOM WAS MOVED BUT TJSI TOOK SO LONG I Cancelled MY ORIGINAL Plans. This hotel should not be open and or should be heavily discounted and should offer refunds and as they are misleading in their advertising
