    "Good food and service."
Food was very good and reasonably priced, staff were very friendly and attentive and Magda was very polite. We would certainly eat here again.
"My first choice when travelling to and from Manchester Airport"
I always book this hotel if I am flying into or out of Manchester Airport. It is convenient, a good quality Premier Inn. You know what you are getting, the standards are consistently good and the food is excellent. The thing that makes this hotel special though it the staff. They are always friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and confortable.
"Felt like a Travelodge room from 20 years ago."
Greeted by an overpowering smell of stale urine the moment I walked into the room. Requested a room on a high floor so that my autistic son could see the aeroplanes in the distance. The dirt on the outside of the window was so bad that it obscured the view by about 50%. And on top of all that workmen were drilling into the walls directly beneath our window for the first few hours. Just couldn’t bring myself to go down and confront them about the piss smell because the fear of them moving me then to a room where the view was even worse or non-existent didn’t want the stress of that In the end had to accept that as long as the toilet door was closed the smell in the rest of the room was acceptable. There was a time when I was happy to pay the increase price for a Premier Inn room to avoid common Travelodge issues like the smell of piss in the bathroom But it now seems either Travelodge have upped their game or Premier Inn don’t seem to care anymore. Massively disappointed spoilt our evening.
"Basic airport budget hotel but be aware of issues with parking."
This is one of 3 budget hotels in Runger Lane, sharing the same access road. There’s a Holiday Inn Express and another Premier Inn, so worth checking which hotel it is you are staying in. Although this is described as Premier Inn Runger Lane North, looking at a map, it is actually slightly further south than the other hotel, Premier Inn Runger Lane South. I stayed here for a night prior to an early morning flight. The hotel was undergoing significant refurbishment, with scaffolding around it and various materials in the car park - arriving at 18:00, there were only a few spaces left, although there were spaces in the other hotel car park that could be used. The inside of the hotel is a bit run down, but hopefully the refurbishment will address that. Reception was quick. The room was the usual basic Premier Inn – comfy bed, large television with plenty of channels, basic bathroom. I was leaving too early to get breakfast. The car park i(£14/night) s operated by one of these third-party companies using ANPR technology. You need to get a voucher from reception and take it to a machine outside the hotel to pay, which I did. Arriving back from my trip 4 days later, I stayed in the Premier Inn opposite. When I went to pay there, the machine showed that I owed £70 in parking fees, as it hadn’t registered my exit from the car park or the payment I had made, as the same parking company manage the car parks for both hotels. Fortunately, I still had a receipt and also took photographs of the process on the screen when I made payment, so the hotel staff were able to adjust. I have stayed at both hotels previously and had had customers complaining over similar issues. I appreciate that car park management is necessary in a hotel so close to the airport, but these third-party companies aren’t providing this service out of the goodness of their hearts. It’s in their interest to generate penalty notices and there is clearly an issue with the accuracy of their equipment. You should also note that a charge is incurred for each time you leave and return to the car park, so a trip to a garage followed by twilight check-in could see you rack up £42 in fees per day. The stay was fine - what I'd expect from a budget hotel, but the car park issues would make me think twice about recommending or staying here again.
"Well past its best. Desperate need of refurbishment."
Well past its best. Stayed here for years but it’s in desperate need of a refurb. More than just the exterior which looks like they are doing now. Rooms are dirty. Bathrooms falling apart. Restaurant service is shocking and food is dire. Never again.
