"Great experience, everything we needed and wanted."
Had a great overnight stay following a late night flight arrival at Luton airport, very quick and easy to get to with plenty of parking. Rhe 2 gentleman on reception when we arrived after 11pm were very professional and helpful and gave great advice on getting late night food delivered. The room, number 30, was very nice and comfortable, one of the cleanest Premier Inn rooms we have ever stayed in, the bathroom was absolutely spotless. Breakfast was great at the Beefeater next door, we were greeted very nicely and shown to our table. Husband had a full English breakfast, the sausages were great! and I had a continental breakfast, which was equally as nice, plenty of choice and lots of fresh fruit, bananas, apples and oranges. On checking out Kliene was extremely helpful and professional, asking if we had had a comfortable stay, yes, were our needs met, most definitely and explaining and helped with the overnight parking payment. A really great experience, thank you Luton Airport Premier Inn
"Premier Inn Luton (Airport) - The worst experience we have had at a Premier Inn."
We sent an email to guest-relations@premierinn.com on the 07th October describing our recent stay at the Premier Inn Luton Airport. We chose this hotel as we have stayed in many Premier inns over the years. We had an early flight from Luton Airport, so the Premier inn seemed like an ideal choice. On arrival, we found that the lift was out of order, so we had to drag our suitcase up stairs, this was not ideal as my husband has back issues. Our room was small, this was not a problem, however, it was very tatty, grubby and dirty, not up to the standard that we have come to expect from Premier inns. We had booked the ‘meal deal’ for dinner and breakfast the following morning. We headed out to the Beefeater, which is located across the car park, whilst walking over we were horrified to see a large rat run a cross the car park. Our evening meal at the Beefeater was acceptable and after eating we returned to our room. The following morning we needed to get up early. My husband had a shower and was rather annoyed to find the shower gell container was completely empty. We went over to the Beefeater, again whilst crossing the car park we saw another large rat. We were the first customers for breakfast when the restaurant opened at 6.30, as we needed to leave for the airport at 7.00. Unfortunately, the hot food was extremely slow to come out. The restaurant manager was apologetic, but this did not help us, due to our time constraints. The coffee machine had also run out of coffee beans, the hot water machine was broken, some kind of flask was being used to dispense hot water. We could wait no longer for the rest of the hot food to come out, so had to make do with the meagre offerings that were available. This is not acceptable when we had paid for a full unlimited breakfast. On the whole, this was the very worst experience by far, that we have ever had at a Premier inn.
"Brilliant stay - thank you Emma!"
Emma was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to tend to our needs to help with our stay! She couldn’t do enough for us, thank you so much Emma
"Warning"
Warning - despite their website saying they offer car parking "We offer an exclusive guest parking discount of £10.40 per night. Simply find a space and pay less to park" we stayed here for one night and parked outside but received a parking "fine" of £60. We told the receptionist that we had parked outside the restaurant as we couldn't get any closer to the hotel, he said fine. What he meant is that you will be getting a fine! The letter does not say what we did wrong. Nice. It seems that we needed to separately book parking with a connected company and Premier Inn say its nothing to do with them despite it being their car park. However, as with all the other reviews have said, the place is an absolute dump. The lifts (2) have been out of order for weeks according to the Staff and they have no idea when they will be fixed. We had to lug suitcases up several flights of stairs to our room, not easy. The room was unclean, noisey and generally grim. The restaurant is not in the same building, its a short walk across the car park to a Beefeater Inn. It was no better, it felt grubby and dirty. As well as hotel guests having breakfast it was open to other customers who had packed in and wanted to gorge on an all you can eat buffet breakfast for £10.99. I think the expression "bun fight" must have come from the Beefeater Luton Airport breakfast buffet. Kids picking things up and putting them back, yuk! Queuing for the food felt more hand-to-hand combat than a relaxing meal pre-holiday. For about £30 more we could have been in a nice hotel. Lesson learned,
"Very good"
Excellent service from reception staff. They were very helpful and informative. Would definitely stay again if travelling this way.
