Together, we are a Force for Good

At Premier Inn, part of the Whitbread family, we care about our teams, our communities and our planet.

That’s why being a Force for Good is at the heart of everything we do, from donating surplus food to communities and working on reducing our carbon emissions to supporting the life-changing work of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

As the UK’s largest hotel chain, we’re proud to be setting industry-leading goals for supporting people, the planet and local communities, so you can rest easy knowing we’re doing our bit for the world we live in.

Opportunity

We know that diverse teams make winning teams. We’re committed to actively breaking down barriers to entry so that we can be an inclusive and representative employer.

With leading training and development programmes, we're a place where you can really build your career. We support our team members to develop their careers through a range of training opportunities, including our leading apprenticeship programmes, regardless of age or ability.

We want to ensure that everyone we work with feels welcome at Whitbread. By listening to our team members, we’re able to effectively support their physical and mental wellbeing.

Community

We have 800+ hotels across the UK&I and Germany, each one is part of a community. We pride ourselves on playing an active role in these communities through charity fundraising, volunteering or providing work for local people. As a responsible hospitality business, we are committed to serving safe, tasty and quality food that meets our guests’ needs for every occasion.

Every time a new hotel or restaurant opens, we’re joining a new community. We support and sponsor each new site team member to volunteer three hours for a local cause.

We’ve been proudly supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) since 2012, hosting everything from bed-ins to fun runs and everything in between to help raise money for seriously ill children from across the UK. Over the next five years, we’ve pledged £20 million towards the Children’s Cancer Centre. £10 million down, £10 million to go.

We are proud to serve high quality food and drink.

Responsibility

We recognise the responsibility we have to safeguard the environments and communities in which operate, which is why we have industry leading targets across our programme to reduce our impact on the environment and respect the human rights of workers across our value chain.

Understanding where our products and services come from is necessary to ensure we are sourcing sustainably and respecting human rights throughout our supply chain.

Understanding our impact on the environment is critical - we recognise our responsibility to take action and drive change. That’s why we’ve committed to being net zero for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 2050, to reduce water use by 20% per hotel guest by 2030 and to cut food waste in half by 2030.

We’re committed to communicating transparently about our performance, setting standards to ensure our suppliers operate responsibly and ensuring that the people who work with us are always treated fairly and with respect.
