"Generally good but uncomfortably hot at night."
The hotel is in a lovely location. The town is a short walk away and there is plenty of nice scenery to admire. The hotel was clean and the food was adequate. The room was ok and what you would expect from a Premier Inn. However, you are unable to open the window in the room and the rooms can get very hot and stuffy as a result. Especially at night, where we found ourselves having to sleep on top of the duvet which is very odd for this time of the year where the temperatures have generally dropped. Hopefully this can be addressed because there's a lot of reviews echoing these concerns.

"Not the best Premier Inn"
Not the best Premier Inn that I have stayed in. Windows in room didn't open, though air con seemed efficient. A walk in shower would have been helpful, rather than over bath, also a hand rail to assist a more elderly person would have been helpful.
This Premier Inn lacks a proper bar. Which I find unusual.
The Thyme restaurant menu may suit some, but for me too fancy. Fish and chips were unavailable, though on menu. I had gammon which was satisfactory if basic.
Breakfast left much to be desired, self service from hot plates, but barely warm, in fact mushrooms were cold. No eggs were out, so when requested I was told they would do them "in a minute". When they came, yes they were hot, but I had virtually finished my main course.

"Poor Experience"
Hotel was fine but will never stay here again. I input my registration number into the system on arrival (nobody in reception so it was a self check in) and I left a short while later before returning at 11pm. I then received a parking charge and despite appealing it with all my booking confirmation it was rejected. I did not receive a charge for the first entry and return only the entry at 11pm and departure at 7am. Avoid this hotel at all costs unless you don't need to park a car!

"Great value, lovely staff, excellent accessible bathroom, virtually inaccessible bed!"
It's close to Monmouth town centre, and also the main road passing the town. The hotel has great staff, very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are very good. Generally very good value for money. There were lots of children staying when we were there (a bank holiday weekend) but we heard no noise at all once in our room.
The accessible bathroom was excellent, spotless and large, with plenty of safety features - the best bathroom we've encountered!
The room had plenty of space to move around it in a wheelchair.
Our only problem was the extremely low bed, which was also a bit too soft. At 18" high, getting out of bed as an able-bodied person was difficult enough, but for someone in a wheelchair with limited mobility it was completely impossible without a lot of help!
