Bangor (Gwynedd, North Wales) hotel

I have a great experience and one beautiful surprise from the receptionist staff Kayleigh, she was very kind and caring. We are really thankful to her. The room was very nice, breakfast the same very tasty. I highly recommended this hotel for a great stay! Thank you to everyone! ❤️

The location of hotel was good as lt met our needs in so far as nearness to Bangor. The hotel was very busy, with families. Lot of children running around.(was this due the half term hoildays?) We waited over an hour for our food, both at our evening meal and breakfast. When it arrived is was just warm. Overrall the staff were very good but under pressure due to the lack of staff. Our room was clean and tidy, although the hotel overall could do with a facelift. The car park whilst good had litter around the carpark and grounds.

This was our second stay while visiting our son at university, and unfortunately it wasn’t up to the standard of our previous visit. The room wasn’t as clean as we expected. There were crisps on the floor, wrappers beside the bed and hair in the sink. I didn’t take photos, as my husband had already cleared it up. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the extra pillows were a welcome bonus. Breakfast the following morning was particularly disappointing. Although advertised as unlimited, the cooked breakfast had to be ordered. The eggs were overcooked and rubbery, while the black pudding and hash browns were cold. Overall, this wasn’t the standard we’ve come to expect from Premier Inn. A comfortable bed is appreciated, but cleanliness and a properly cooked, hot breakfast matter too.

This is our second stay at the hotel, whilst visiting our daughter at uni. On arrival the reception was unattended and there was 3 hotel guests waiting in front of us. And another arrived behind us and waited to check in. We were in the main building of the reception. Not so good points, not enough tea, coffee and milk in room, however, plenty in reception to help yourself. There was a big ball of human hair on the carpet and dirty around the soap dispenser. The tv remote did not work, it lit up red everytime we pressed a button, showing it had power but we could not turn the tv up or over to another channel. The biggest bad point for us was the fan noise from the bathroom. Usually when we have stayed in hotels with extractor fans in the bathroom, these have gone off a few minutes after the light is turned off, unfortunately this was not the case and the fan noise continued all the time. This could be heard in the room with the door closed. It affected our sleep as we could hear it constantly. I ended up with tissue in my ears and a pillow over my head. Next time, I will bring ear plugs. Good points the duvet, bed, and pillows were super comfortable. The room was warm and spacious, and the windows were great at blocking out the travel noise from the close by road. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant but it looked empty each time we went past. Plenty of parking. We will definitely visit again as good value for the area

We had dinner for 6 adults and 3 children and were served excellently by Matthew and his small team of colleagues. The food was just right and served very efficiently.
