"Relaxing overnight, very well looked after"

From easy to find, plenty of parking and welcoming and helpful staff (Helen, Anne-Marie and Tracy) my wife and I had a relaxing and convenient stay at the Coldra Newport Premier Inn. Facilities were as you would expect, clean, functional and smart. Taxi in evening was booked for us and breakfast in the morning was the best. Everything we could want and very welcoming. What more could we ask for.

"It was good to get there"

We decided to break our journey from London to Tenby with an overnight stay at this Premier Inn. Unfortunately we were confused by the road signs at Junction 24 on the M4 and ended up turning off the roundabout and travelling up the M50 for 7 miles (first exit) and then another 7 miles back. So beware if you decide to stay here. But there was the usual warm welcome from the staff, who personally checked if our room was ready as we were early. It was. The room was on the second floor (top floor - always the best) and there was a handy lift just off the reception. All rooms are the same at Premier Inns, providing everything you want for a relaxing night's sleep, on a budget, and no surprises here - comfy bed, good size bathroom, tea and coffee. But the place seemed overrun with children and their parents - we later learned there was a Cheer Leader competition in town this weekend - and we did have a few qualms about eating in the Beefeater next door, especially as we wanted to eat at a premium time. But we booked a table anyway. We were seated in the centre of several families, but our waitress, Jade, was really efficient while being friendly and helpful. We didn't have to wait long for our food, which was perfectly cooked, even though we had both ordered steaks and we had a relaxing evening, Breakfast was leisurely with the usual self service choice of full English or continental with juices, toast and tea/coffee. Come the time to leave we were ready to continue our journey feeling relaxed and looking forward to our week away.

"Premier Inn avoid the Beefeater"

Good stay at the Premier Inn avoid the Beefeater. Premier Inn was as expected and a lovely welcome from the receptionist. However the same can't be said for the connected Beefeater from the service to the food it's poor. And breakfast was akin to an 80's roadside cafe; opt for continental or even better walk across the road to McDonald's

Directions off the M4 were poor It took a long time to locate the Premier Inn off the M4. The room was excellent and the service on reception was friendly and efficient. We experienced noise from the room above, children running about in the bedroom. The journey from the Premier inn back onto the M4 was excellent but the exit from the M4 to the Premier Inn was difficult

Everything you’d expect from a premier inn. The room was clean. The staff are very friendly and there was very little waiting around to be checked in. The location also has a beefeater and a McDonald’s.
