"Don't stay here in warm weather!"
Whilst the staff and the room were great. the lack of aircon or even natural ventilation (due to the ties preventing the windows from opening) on a warm day prevented sleep. It is surely the first priority of any hotel to provide a good night's sleep - which we found impossible at 27C at 3.30am! Otherwise, the hotel deserves a 5* review.
      "Worst rooms possible !"
Absolutely useless staff , unhelpful! The rooms were ridiculously hot and only one small fan available which did not rotate and not allowed anymore even though we had a small child. Asked to swap rooms but apparently all booked up, windows do not open any wider so room felt like a complete sauna! Do not recommend at all and would not stay again.
      "Premier Inn need to improve"
So disappointed in premier inn. We stayed on a hot day to be fair but the windows in the room opened only a crack so our room never went below 30degrees, it was so uncomfortable. Premier inn need to either invest in aircon or allow the windows to open to let in some fresh air. Considering the price it was not good value for money and the whole hotel felt cheap and tacky!
      "Hotter than the Sahara desert"
Hotter than the Sahara desert... It was a hot day and once we checked in and were told there was no air con we were expecting it to be hot but OMG this was like trying to sleep in the Sahara desert while doing an extreme sport in the midday sun. It comes to something when its cooled down nicely outside but your room is still showing 33 at 3 in the morning on the thermostat and the measly fan provided circulates hot air. For some reason this building seems to be radiating heat that you can't escape the corridors smell like sweaty feet and are so hot you feel faint and then you open your room door to be hit by a wall of heat that could possibly give you third degree burns!!! Sorry Lenny I definitely havent had the lovely nights sleep you promise and no its not because I am British and its hot its because this building is like a raging inferno micro climate that's 20 degrees hotter than anywhere else in the UK. I accept that its gonna be warm due to the nice weather but why oh why is your building so hot has someone forgot to turn the heating off!!!!
      "Dirty room, full of mold!"
Booked a family room to visit friends in Caldicot. Arrived at the hotel around 10pm, car park was overflowing and very limited spaces outside the hotel for a family with small children. Checked in and went to our room, found the window wide open which made the room absolutely freezing! Got settled in for the night, the main bed was as you would expect from a premier inn so was one of the single beds. The other single bed was like lying on a piece of wood. The morning after all became clear as why the window was left wide open. It was to mask the smell of the damp, the room and the bathroom was covered in black mold! Not something you want your children breathing in throughout the night. We got ready for breakfast and informed the lady on reception of the issues and were told that we can only call and make a complaint after check out at 12. The bathroom looked as though it had not been cleaned in weeks, complimentary shower gel and hand wash near empty and covered in rust and black mold in the bathroom also. Call premier inn to inform them of the issues and all they could do is refund 1/2 of the payment for the stay. We have used premier inn up and down the country and this is by far the worst hotel we have stopped in. My advise would be not to use this hotel and go a bit further to use the one in Cribbs Causeway which is brilliant.
