Cwmbran hotel

Not wheelchair friendly I think people need to look at what classes a room as wheelchair accessible just fitting through the door and having a wet room does not make it accessible having furniture in the room that does not need to be there unless requested which was the issue at this hotel it had a sofa or a sofa bed as I was informed, which took up room needed to help me get into bed as I do not have a hoist and there was no room for anyone to help me into bed due to the position of the bedside tables and the "sofa bed" if the bed had not been in the room or we would of been able to move this then we wouldn't of had an issue but we wasn't able to move it due to health and safety and there was nowhere for them to move it to and didn't want to inconvenience anyone else that might rent another room that might be empty was made to feel like I was just being awkward was told I could have a refund and move else where which is no good when your 180 miles from home we stay at premier inns a lot as they are generally good for accessibility but was very disappointed with this hotel they need to re look at there advert because what they say about always knowing what you get when you stay over, that is not the case. I do think the rooms are designed by someone who has probably never even sat in a wheelchair never mind spoke to anyone in a chair, going off books not real life accessible and disabled are not the same thing being a disabled room doesn't mean that it is accessible for wheelchair's

Good clean rooms, good food and drink choice, free parking. Easy to find although a bit out of town. Would make an ideal location if exploring the local area.

We have stayed at the premier inn several times now, and would rate all the staff as 10 out of 10 especially Emma who is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble

Lovely location, friendly and helpful staff, helped amend booking when arrived. Would definitely stay again.

Can’t fault the stay. We had an issue and Rhys sorted it out straight away. Ben W is also very good and made our daughters week by putting her colouring picture in the wall.
