    "Adequate but no more"
We have stayed here previously but have noticed that the hotel is looking increasingly shabby, both in public areas and our fifth floor room. Staff were pleasant and helpful but the reception area is small and unwelcoming. Breakfast was well up to normal standards, good range of choices , and staff really friendly even though it was a busy weekend morning. Our room was adequate and the bed comfortable. There was a lot of external noise but the most annoying thing was the constant background rumbling noise , which disturbed my sleep ( fortunately my disabled husband is deaf and he slept like a baby!) The TV is small, and the lack of bedside sockets was a nuisance. No glasses in bathroom and the Pimm’s bought at Tesco didn’t seem right in a mug! Although the location works for us, I think we will not be using this hotel again.
    "Decent Stay but Some Issues"
Room was clean and comfortable, and overall a nice stay. However, the sink plug was jammed which meant it didn’t drain properly – a bit annoying. The hair dryer was awful and needs replacing and I couldn’t find an iron, which was inconvenient. It was also a little noisy outside as my room overlooked the water. Overall ok value for money though – cheap and mostly cheerful.
    "Premier Inn Swansea"
Overall good value for money , we had breakfast and requested vegetarian option and eggs to be well done this was catered for. Easy parking and good location.
"Great location but hotel showing its age"
We’ve stayed here a few times over the years, it’s a great location and there’s lots of nice restaurants and cafes within walking distance. We’ve not been for a couple of years, and this time we felt the hotel was showing its age a bit. Our room was clean but needed repainting. There was condensation in the double glazed window and it looked like there was a damp issue there with some mould damage although it was all contained within the window. The staff were as ever very friendly and helpful. It just felt as though the hotel needed a bit of TLC and maintenance which is unusual for a Premier Inn.
    "Terrible nights sleep."
My wife and I had the worse night sleep of any hotel we have ever stayed at! Ever. The room on the 5th floor had a loud low frequency rumble (in fact on inspection it appeared to be everywhere on the fifth floor I walked around!) Perhaps an aging A/C system? At 1am I went down to the reception to complain and two staff came to our room. They helped us move our bed into the middle of the room as low frequencies build up in the corners of rooms and this made a small difference - small. The staff said in 10 years they had never heard of this particular issue . "Mmmh" I thought. We had a 6.30am start as it was our son's university graduation ceremony and so we we began the morning feeling shattered (thank you Premier Inn) We went to the reception to check out and the young man asked us how our stay had been. "Terrible" I said "absolutely terrible" - "oh were you on the 5th floor" he said. "Mmmh" I thought. On his instructions we claimed a refund for our overnight stay - which without fuss Premier Inn agreed to. I do think Premier Inn Swansea Waterfront should not be letting rooms on their 5th floor until the "rumbling" noise issue has been resolved - it seems unfair to put people into a situation where they miss a nights sleep and have a day planned for the next day - I had to drive home 200 miles after my son's ceremony and I was feeling pretty shattered! I won't be re-booking anytime soon!
