"Group trip."
We stayed here as part of a group trip (brass band competition at the Brangwyn Hall) - we'd stayed here last year and, having had a comfortable stay, decided to book again this year. Reasons being:
- Access - it's got a car park attached/10 min walk from the train station, great for our group
- 5 min drive/25 min walk from the Brangwyn, where our competition was taking place
- Close to loads of restaraunts and pubs
- Reasonably priced (for fixed rate... flexible rates are more expensive but do have good cancellation perks).
- comfortable stay last time we were here... same again this time.
When we origianlly booked, my husband and I hadn't booked breakfast for any morning. We stayed 3 nights, and on arrival added in one morning's breakfast. It was really easy to sort and pay for on arrival; the consequential additional booking confirmations/invoices were initially a little confusing but actually only confirmed the breakfast add-on!
As for the breakfast that one morning.... well done to the morning restaraunt team for dealing with the sheer volume of people coming down to eat in such a short period of time. We all got seated, we were all fed and watered (food was all quite fresh as a result of the high turnover of people!), there was occasionally a few minutes' wait for things like clean tea/coffee mugs but that was fine. There was a good choice of hot and cold food, and juices/tea/coffee etc.
Our room: We booked a double room, and got allocated such on the 3rd floor. Great! There's both stairs and lift access, right by reception. We did struggle getting room temperature right overnight - it was a surprisingly warm weekend for March. The one night we did leave the window open, I got woken up by rowdy Saturday night drinkers being a bit loud at some daft time of morning (shutting a window and going back to bed = I was back asleep really quickly). Other than those little things: check in/out was easy, the bed was comfy, wardrobe/storage space/desk space/miscellaneous spaces are all good, good space to get round the room and ensuite bathroom - and that's in a basic double room!
I'd happily book here again if anything in life brings me to Swansea.

"Fab experience"
just returned from a lovely trip from swansea stayed at this hotel with my 3 children, lovely helpful staff who go above and beyond it seems ( must admit some of the reviews i was worried) but had a fantastic time!! conseriding it was a lively saturday night we had a extremely quiet room, made me wonder if we were the only ones in the corridor as we hardly heard a thing! we had a pouch of chocolate on arrival waiting for us which was such a lovely gesture we travelled a couple hours away and i had hungry children so this made the start to their trip special! only negative was the heating as the room was a bit cold for a while in the evening but once i triggered the heating to go off and on a few times it soon warmed up, thankyou to all the staff that helped this weekend hopefully will return sometime in the future

"Centraly-located and ideal to visit Swansea!"
The hotel is very centrally-located in Swansea which is a huge plus, and everything is walkable from the hotel. The front desk staff are super helpful and kind, made check-in easy and were always willing to give advice or offer assistance. The breakfast staff was also super kind and their food was top notch--some of the best scrambled eggs I've ever eaten. Due to its configuration, the hallways are very long, and it can be quite a trek to one's room, and the hotel can be a bit chilly in the hallways in the winter, but overall, it was a nice stay for my two days in Swansea. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and for the price, it really is ideal. I would stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Swansea.

"Too noisy for me and a missed toilet in the cleaning stage"
I chose this location as it's on the water and a beautiful setting. However, this falls short of relaxing and the calm I was after. Unfortunately when I arrived the toilet had not been cleaned properly which was not a nice welcome. Due to how busy I have been I've had to report it via an email but I am sure they would have sorted if I asked. The first night I noticed how creaky the building is, the floorboards by my door are incredibly noisy and people were walking back and forth quite late, likely because it was a weekend. This continued the second night, and the floor above is also very noisy and you can hear people walking around so much it vibrates the light fitting. Outside also appears to be just as noisy with goings on even on a Sunday.
Unfortunately this spoilt the experience as I needed rest and this fell short of providing me of it. However, the staff member who checked me in was very kind and helpful, just the building that isn't great, and hard to change, and a missed toilet during the cleaning before checking in. I would still use Premier inn again as find their beds very comfortable, but maybe not this one. I have raised these issues with Premier Inn via a feedback form.
