Cardiff North hotel

Friendly welcome. Plenty of parking at the hotel. Great base for exploring Cardiff - took us about 15 minutes by Uber to get into the centre. We had a Premier plus room on the fourth floor. Quiet location, clean and spacious. Excellent buffet style breakfast, staff friendly and efficient.

Booked two rooms online, and had an issue on arrival but the staff didn’t hesitate to make it right. Bags dropped off and headed to the bar for a pre dinner drink. Drink choice was ok and again the staff were really nice. During the meal service, we found everything to be good and need to single out Stacey who was just a really friendly, professional and beautiful individual. Thank you. The room 125 seemed clean though the shower silicone needs replacing as its just black mouldy spots which isn’t nice to see. I personally found the bed too hard and didn’t get a good nights sleep: i was clock watching every hour. But my daughter had a good sleep in her room. Breakfast was the standard buffet choices of hot, and continental options. Yes, i have mentioned issues, but the staff here make up for the issues

⸻ The main reason I continue to stay at this hotel is because of the colleagues you have working here. Stacey and Ella truly make all the difference. They work incredibly hard, welcoming regular guests and anyone who walks through the door with the same professionalism and warmth. No matter what may be going on in their personal lives or if they’re having a difficult day, you would never know. They always put on a brave face and consistently deliver top-notch service. When you’re away from home all week for work, that level of care makes a real difference. Their friendliness, resilience, and dedication don’t go unnoticed—they are genuinely extraordinary and absolutely deserve recognition and praise.

I travel across the UK for work and stay in Premier Inns regularly, but this one was by far the best I’ve experienced. From the outside, I have to admit it didn’t look promising—it appeared quite dated and tired, with grey walls and not the most inviting first impression. However, as soon as you step inside, it’s a completely different story. The interior is modern, open-plan, and has a really vibrant feel—almost like something out of Love Island or Celebrity Big Brother, with bright lighting and a fresh, contemporary design. What really made the stay stand out, though, was the service—especially from Emma, one of the managers. She introduced herself while we were checking in, asked about our plans, and gave us helpful information about drinks and booking a table. When we mentioned we were heading into Cardiff for the evening, she was genuinely interested and engaged. The room was what you’d expect from a Premier Inn, but with some great touches—a lovely walk-in double shower, everything spotlessly clean, and it was incredibly quiet. We had a fantastic night’s sleep. After returning from Cardiff, we spent some time in the bar, which had a great atmosphere—busy, lively, and really enjoyable. Breakfast the next morning was also excellent, with a wide selection of hot and cold options, including fruit, yoghurts, and cereals. To top it all off, Emma was there again at breakfast. She remembered us and asked how our evening had been, which was such a thoughtful touch. Her friendliness and attention to detail really made the stay special and she deserves a big shoutout. Thank you, Emma—we’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this hotel.
