Cardiff North hotel

I don’t often leave a review, but felt I had to. We arrived at the Premier Inn with my son who had just graduated and my partner we had a few drinks before heading into town to celebrate, but before we left we were given a bag with some goodies and a lovely note saying congratulations on your graduation. It’s the small things that count. We had a very comfortable sleep 🛌 with no noise and a really lovely breakfast to start the next day. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable( air-con was most welcome with the hot weather ) Nice atmosphere with everyone watching the football in the evening . Well done to this hotel for ticking all the right boxes⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On arrival at the hotel the staff were helpful and friendly and the entrance hall and bar attractive. The air conditioning temperature was wonderful after a week of extreme heat. I stayed in 2 different rooms as I had only booked one night but wanted to extend. The double bed in the first room was ok but a bit hard (not the lovely mattresses I remember from 5 or so years ago). The bed in my 2nd room was awful - 2 singles pushed together, one which was very hard and the other felt like an old mattress with no support that needed replacing hence I got very little sleep and ended up with back ache (the hotel was full so no point trying to change). The bathrooms in both rooms were good with very good showers. The rooms were spacious and clean and the air conditioning was wonderful. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic all cooked to perfection and all items were kept topped up; the dining area was very busy but the staff worked hard to clear tables. I would stay here again but would need to check the beds. The price was very high - presumably as there was a lot going on in Cardiff this weekend - very greedy of Premier Inn to do that but a lot of places do that. I wouldn’t pay that price again but it was a special weekend for me with my son in a concert.

A nice enough hotel but poor management and service. The automated check in wasn’t working so long queues to check in and get a key on both steaming hot weekend days. Asked for clean towels, didn’t get them. Room usual clean and cool standard. Good air con. Not enough staff covering check in, bar and restaurant.

Perfect! Staff welcoming and helpful. Air conditioning everywhere. Big carpark. Very comfortable. Spotlessly clean.
