"Anniversary stay"
My wife and I stayed here as part of our anniversary. We paid the extra for the premium room with views. The view of the main part of cardiff was spectacular, both day and night. This was from the 16th floor. The room was OK. Bed was comfy but we were in a middle of a heatwave at the time and the air-conditioning had limitations on it. The tv was a tad to small for comfortable viewing and the tv remote was held together by sellotape. Not what I was expecting in a premium room The staff we encountered were all polite and helpful and most of all professional.
"Nice hotel with good gf breakfast options"
Nice hotel, friendly staff, easy check in and quiet comfortable room with a good view over Cardiff. Good gf and vegetarian breakfast choices.
"Why pay more for 1st class quality"
Fantastic new hotel in the city...couldn't fault the place...great value for money... everything just worked perfectly
"Great location lovely staff"
Nice hotel ideal location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking is not ideal and is a fair walk if carying heavy bags. That is the only reason I deducted a star.
"Terrible stay!"
After a long drive, I stopped in front of the hotel to unload our bags then realised that it was a bus lane and moved on. I must have stopped for about 30 seconds but later received a parking fine. I will admit is my own fault but hope this helps others to avoid. I only stayed one night for my daughter’s graduation. The room was consistently hot about 28C, the windows do not open – it was 15C outside, so I went down to reception and a staff member said he would adjust the temperature. I was obviously lied to as by 12 midnight it was still 28C, so down I went again to reception. This time the 2 members of staff admitted that the aircon was broken and they had no other rooms available as it was graduation week. I was not happy would be an understatement. Was informed they also had no fans. Staff did try ringing the other Premier inns in the area, but there was nothing available, though moving hotels at 1am would have been challenging. I slept very uncomfortably in the very hot and stuffy for about 3 hours that night on & off and was extremely tired the next day. Premier Inn did refund me under their good sleep guarantee when I rang their guest services, but it did not take away the bad experience, poor sleep & tiredness. If I need to stay in Cardiff again, it will not be in this hotel!
