"Tired rooms and understaffed"
The hotel wasn't very clean, especially the rooms. Lots of dust in corners of the room and skirting boards.
A half eaten banana was found behind a bed. There was mould growing along the window seal.
Rooms are looking tired and need upgrading.
The walls were dirty in the room-they needed a deep clean.
The chairs were all stained and tired looking.
Toilets downstairs by reception had a cleaning in progress sign on them the whole time we stayed, they were not clean and stank of urine.
This hotel is totally understaffed. Saturday evening only 2 members of staff to greet customers, take food orders, drink orders and deliver food. Our food was ready but waited about 15 minutes before the food arrived to us. When it arrived it was barely warm. Spoke to the manager and said it just wasn't good enough and these things spoilt our holiday. I'd never stay at the hotel again and I wouldn't be recommending it to anyone.
The reception isn't staffed, you need to press a button to get their attention in the office. The local homeless know this and take advantage. We saw a homeless man relaxing quite pleased with himself on one of the purple chairs by the entrance. Such a shame as the location is lovely with great restaurants near by. Don't eat in at the hotel, go to Las Iguanas!

"Another great stay"
Stay here recently for a little self care trip. Always go for the premier inn in cardiff Bay. It's an excellent hotel, and we have always had consistently good stays. Seeing I was by myself, I got a plus room. Lovely comfy room, clean, spacious, delightful
The staff were lovely throughout, always helpful and attentive. I went for the meal deal. Which I feel is excellent value for money. The food was nice, especially the prawn cocktail starter. There were also drinks offers on including 2 cocktails for 12 pounds, so I had a couple hugo spritz.
Breakfast was fresh the next day. Check out is easy over the app ( as is check-in)
Will always stay here if I'm down the bay

"Not as great as usual"
Great location, lovely staff and handy parking right next door. Room not as clean as they usually are in Premier Inns was the let down and workmen drilling in the room next door at 8.30am.

"Comfortable stay in a good location"
We stayed one night here and had a comfortable night’s sleep. The check in via the screen was very easy and self-explanatory. The hotel was in a good location with lots of restaurants nearby, along with a Sainsbury’s local should you need anything. We had a pleasant walk around the bay before we had dinner.
The multi-storey car park next door is not owned by Premier Inn, but is in a convenient location for the hotel. Unfortunately it is quite tight going up the ramps and we managed to scrape our new car which tarnished our arrival, but this wasn’t the fault of Premier Inn. You can get a discount on parking by validating the ticket in the lobby of the hotel before leaving.
The only problem we had with the hotel room was that the extractor fan didn’t appear to work, and that the air conditioning went off in the middle of the night meaning that we got very hot. Also, the road could occasionally be a bit noisy during the night, but it wasn’t unbearable.

"Useless breakfast team. Apart from the chef who I feel sorry for!!!"
Breakfast team are a not funny joke.
Went for breakfast after a 12 hour shift and ready for something to eat. Had been in the restaurant half an hour before being told by the chef today was table service. After waiting for the 2 guys who apparently work here to finish playing on their phones we finally got our order taken. Despite the chefs best efforts to get one of them to come back and serve us our food we went up ourselves to collect the cooked breakfast whilst they sat on their phones eating and drinking. If this is what customer service is you should be ashamed to call yourself a customer serving business.
1 star is flattery.
