Cardiff Bay hotel

I wore a Sunflower lanyard but had failed to notify Premier Inn before I arrived. Impressed with the discreet acknowledgement and support I was given. Temi was notably attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Public car parking adjacent to hotel very convenient. Straightforward to acquire taxis to Sophia Gardens for the cricket.

After a long day enjoying an event in Cardiff, we made our way to the Premier Inn in Cardiff Bay. It was after 23.00 so we had to buzz to get in. After using the self check in machine which was easy enough, we made our way up to our room on the 7th floor. There was a strange smell along the corridors, but that was the least of our worries. The room smelt a bit funky too but there was a ceiling panel missing near the door and then the shower had no shower head. Having worked in hotels, I know that these things happen, and rooms can be out of service, but this should never have been an available room. To be fair, Femi on the front desk sorted us out with a new room immediately, he was friendly and offered us complimentary breakfast as an apology, but the fact we had to go back downstairs so late in the evening to sort it out was a pain. Even the lift button had been damaged so that made getting upstairs a little tougher. We were given many heads up through emails that there might be scaffolding or building noise, so were prepared for that, but this wasn't happening and didn't effect us, the lack of ceiling, shower head and the fact the mirror was covered in finger prints is not what we came to expect. The hotel is in a good area and looks nice from outside, but the standards we encountered were not what you would come to expect from a Premier Inn. Would probably stay in Central Cardiff next time.

I am delighted with our decision to stay here. Location is superb, in Cardiff Bay, 3 minutes walk from Mermaid Quay, absolutely perfect location. Staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. Our room was very spacious and our family of 4 were very comfortable during our 4 nights stay. Breakfast was very good. Parking was reasonably priced once the 25% reduction is applied. It is really an ideal place to stay for Cardiff Bay.

Excellent hotel in super excellent place. We engow the bay area, new area with many things to do. Not far from city centre, there is hop off and hop on point near hotel and many other city buses for easy transport.beside car park for the whole night is£ 11.5 which very good

Staff very very helpful in every area all the time. Helped us by telling us about the food availability and the special 2 for one meals. Saved us money eating and drinking what we wanted but at a deal meal cost.
