Wrexham North (A483) hotel

Clean with welcoming staff. Great beds and pillows. Would stay again

If you like moldy bathrooms and the smell of pigeon do-do outside your window, this is the hotel for you! No accessible rooms available when I booked one, room wasn’t cleaned when requested and the hotel has seen better days. Staff didn’t seem to care about the issues, just wanted to badger us about buying breakfast and the guy was chatting with his mate when we tried to check out. Bathroom STUNK of mold and there were mold spores all over it, trim around bath was disgusting and the carpets were filthy. Never again!

Sadly the worst Premier Inn experience we have ever had. Building needs a whole lot of work, tired and scuffed everywhere, but hotel was spotlessly clean. Family room infested with bed bugs. Staff very helpful, found another room and refunded the night. No cooked breakfast on the Saturday, again staff very apologetic and a refund (£2 a head) made. The staff were very kind, pleasant, helpful, problem solvers and doing their best. The Beeches next door was adequate, very tired annd scruffy, and toilets not clean. Again, staff really helpful, problem solvers and doing their best, but clearly understaffed.

The hotel was fine ... but I parked my car in the hotel carpark and handed my number into reception then got a £57 parking fine 2 weeks later from "HorizonParking" who manage the hotel's carpark. I telephoned Premier Inn Customer Service and they put me through to the hotel. I spoke to Omar who was very professional and said just follow the appeal procedure and suppy proof of booking and the charge would be reversed. I did exactly that. Now my appeal has been turned down by the parking company. I feel very let down by Premier Inn - I am not sure why a parking company is needed when almost all cars in the carpark belong to hotel guests !

One of the better Premiers I've been to in my travels. Staff are really friendly and help and they did the best they could on a very hot weekend without and air con. Every room had a fan and duvets were replaced by sheets. Duvets could be returned on request. Restaurant service and food was good and staff super helpful. The one thing that lets this site down is that, although it is relatively remote, being out of town, the restaurant stops serving at 8pm and the bar closes promptly at 9 - no exception. Having travelled with a large group of friends from across the world, there was nowhere we could gather and unwind after a busy day. We are not a group to "party hard", but our only option was to gather outside on the restaurant outdoor seating with our own snacks and drinks, which although there were no complaints, must have been noisy for other guests and wasn't comfortable for us. And think of the lost revenue from a semi captive audience - noone wins!
