"Premier Inn breakfasts – quality downgraded, lost a loyal regular"
For years I was a regular customer of Premier Inn breakfasts, often going out of my way to visit just for breakfast because it used to be a dependable, good-value start to the day. I wasn’t staying in the hotels – I was there purely for the cooked breakfast.
Over the past year or so, the quality has clearly been downgraded. The sausages now taste and feel like a much cheaper product, more filler than meat, with a bland, rubbery texture instead of the meaty sausages they used to serve. The bacon has become wafer thin, so it cooks badly, dries out quickly and has almost no substance on the plate. It looks and feels like a cost-cutting exercise.
What was once a solid, satisfying cooked breakfast has become something I’d expect from a budget café cutting corners, not a national hotel brand charging full prices. I’m not alone in this view – plenty of recent reviews mention poor quality sausages, cold or overcooked bacon and breakfasts that are no longer good value.
I’ve now stopped using Premier Inn for breakfast altogether, which is a shame given how often I used to go and how strongly I used to recommend it to others. Until they restore the previous standard of sausages and bacon, I’d suggest looking elsewhere – there are plenty of nearby places that offer better-quality cooked breakfasts for similar money.
To make matters worse, the Premier Inn website “feedback” route appears to be broken, so there’s no easy way to give this feedback directly to the company. That’s why I’m posting here instead.

"Beautiful place to stay."
I booked this hotel, in order to attend my brother's funeral. From the moment we checked in, our stay was excellent. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and made our stay as pleasant as could be, under the circumstances.

"Comfortable stay"
After a bad experience with another company, we booked premier inn, all staff were kind and helpful in a stressful situation. Good value for money, near to town, good air conditioning for hottest day of year so far. Would definitely stay again.

"Nice hotel. It was clean, roomy and we enjoyed the food."
Couldn't find any fault. A standard Premiere Inn. Clean, spacious room. Enjoyed a nice meal and drink in the restaurant. Staff were very nice and helpful.
Only negative, you had to pay £7 per night to park.
