"Bleak house is paradise compared to this!"
Avoid like the plague until they get their issues sorted and staff who have a clue. We went a year ago and it was in the OK level of Prem Inns. We arrived and were given keys to room 5, premier plus room and told that to reach it we had to go outside, walk down the front of the building into the annexe. We got in and discovered the window is completely covered with a poster on the outside. All the prem plus rooms here are either the same or face into a manky parking area next to reception. We dropped our case and went down to the seafront for a long walk, had dinner and another walk and came back eager to shower & get to bed. Only 1 towel in the room so outside again, back to reception to get another one. I hop in the shower to discover there's no hot water. I'm now cold & damp so click the heating on while I dry off my legs and get dressed again. Nothing, no heating either. It's gone 9 at night and we're now cold & fed up. Trail back to reception, girl on duty says she'll reset the boiler & it'll be fine in 10 - 15 mins. Nothing, still no heat or hot water. This continued until after 10, 3 more times we went back, 3 more times she clicked buttons and assured us it would be fine. Cue visit 5 where girl was annoyed as she'd just ordered her food so called the other girl from the restaurant to take over. She called the manager who said nothing could be done, they knew that room had issues and noone should have been put in it yet. The girl then said you can have £15 off your bill or free breakfast in the morning and left us to it. At least now the door at the back of the restaurant was unlocked so we're able to ho back to the room without trailing down the street again. I checked a few hotels in the area and as far as Llandudno but nothing was available under £100, for what remained off the night, after 10.30pm we gave in, quick cols wash and got in to bed cold, grubby and fed up. We went to reception to check out in the morning and waited for someone to come from the restaurant, we told her we'd had the issues and what the manager had said. She looked at me blankly, walked off into the restaurant and came back a couple of minutes later, she looked me up and down then said you can have the breakfast and walked back in the restaurant. We use Prem Inns all the time and never have we encountered such incompetence or appalling service. We've had the odd issue before, it's bound to happen but normally they are apologetic and do everything they can to recover the situation. This was like something out of Fawlty Towers. So bad that at that point we did have to laugh. We won't be going back there again!

"Premier inn rhyl seafront"
Absolutely terrible 2 and a half hours we waited for dinner and even after that I didn't get what I ordered went to the room and heating wasn't working I tried to find someone to fix it but couldn't then the WiFi is the worst I have ever experienced in any hotel anywhere then went for breakfast after not sleeping because it was freezing and there was over an hour queue so we went and didn't have breakfast the rooms are tired and had holes in the net curtains overall I will never stay in a premier inn ever again it was a disgrace from start to finish

"Disappointing"
We regularly use Premier inn hotels and on the whole we're very happy with them, unfortunately this one doesn't fall into that category.
While I understand it is going through some improvements, our room looked very old and tatty, which we could get by with, but the constant smell in the bathroom was akin to a sewage works, sealant was peeling away from behind the toilet, there was also mold in the shower, the room itself had not been cleaned properly, I reported both to reception (when there was finally someone on) and the room was cleaned but the smell remained in the bathroom, I even purchased some air freshener and surface cleaner to try and mask the smell.
Also and not directly the hotels fault but the constant sound of footsteps from the upstairs room (2am pacing up and down for a hour) shows the sound proofing to be inadequate, finally the bed wasn't upto the usual Premier inn standards

"Rhyl, a cracking place for a naughty weekend"
My wife and I book nights away in a Premier Inn several times a year, mainly so we can indulge in care free noisy kinky sex without fearing that our adult children who still live at home will be disturbed by the noise.
We like a Premier Inn because they are consistent in their accommodation standards up and down the land, and Rhyl is no exception.
The rooms are comfy, clean and reasonable value. We pay for the meal deal usually as well as this too offers good value.
Rhyl Premier Inn seemed to be struggling staff wise this weekend, so the paid for early check in was delayed whilst the room was being cleaned and we were only able to access the room from 1pm. Similarly breakfast was delayed the following morning due to the chef not being in.
It wasn't the end of the world. There was a good and adequate continental selection whilst another staff member stepped into the breach, and after a while a cooked choice did appear.
No one starved! Plenty of people moaned, but no one went without anything to eat or drink.
These things happen.
Have I any complaints? Only that the rooms contain only one chair to sit in if you don't want to lounge in the bed. Aside from this the stay was as ever consistent in terms of cleanliness comfort, value and food. I slept like a log once untied and look forward to our next night away.
