Perth City Centre hotel

Terrible Premier Inn, worst I've used and won't revisit , over charged in restaurant food was well below standard , staff are incompetent , room was tatty net curtains falling down bath panel in bad condition , sealing around the bath black in places , breakfast was of a low standard as well and only luke warm , very unhappy with my stay there , I advise you to find somewhere else to stay

Room was a ‘plus’ rated room - instant hot water, access to terrestrial TV, coffee machine included if that’s what you like. Special mention goes to Aga who I think is possibly a manager and deals with arrivals as well as serving customers in the restaurant. She was excellent, very kind and always trying to help the customer! Without her the Premier Inn would not have felt so welcoming.

Automated check in worked smoothly. Good location. Spacious bedroom. Comfortable bed. Most importantly, no dogs. The room temperature was OK for a seafood processing plant but not so for an older couple. The thermostat indicated that the heating was centrally controlled when we tried to increase the temperature. On the way back from dinner we managed (with some difficulty)to track down a staff member who said she would adjust the heating. The temperature did not improve after an hour so we tried to speak to someone again but could find no-one. The door from reception was propped open which is not great security. We spent the night with our coats draped over the duvet and shivered whilst taking a shower in the morning. The shower gel dispenser was broken so not working. Breakfast was tasty but initially the buffet had no bacon, then when the bacon arrived there were no fried eggs. Either cook the breakfast to order or make sure the buffet is replenished properly. We had breakfast before 9am so this was not late on in service. There is obviously an attempt here to save money by operating with skeleton staff and automation. It's failing miserably on customer service. Contrast this with Portlethen Premier Inn where we stay regularly and whose best feature is its staff.

Lovely reception staff who found us a room when we were a wee bit early. Every member of staff we met acknowledged us and were so welcoming. Loved the breakfast. Fresh and plentiful.

Restraunt let the hotel down. It was freezing cold so food cooled quickly. Cheap / processed meat/ chicken breast. cucumber had been frosted in fridge and should never have been served. Only got a appology when complained.
