Dundee North hotel

Very dated hotel. Carpets in public areas very shabby. Not very well sound proofed. You can hear the people above walking about. Clean with nice bedlinen and beds comfortable. Rooms very warm. Instructions on how to turn down the heat not very clear. Room has a fan. Bath very high to get into. I struggled to get in the shower. A handrail would have helped. No communal area. We travelled as part of a group for sn ice hockey event. We would normally meet downstairs wherever we stay for a bit of a get together in the evenings but there is nowhere here to meet. No communal area even at reception. The bar/restaurant is permanently closed. Even on a lovely sunny day, there is nowhere to sit outside. They have plenty of room for a few picnic benches or even just benches. Also, the outside could do with a freshen up. Its very dull and shabby. No food served although there are restaurants right beside it. KFC. McDonalds and Nandos. Not great for breakfast when you just want some toast. It was functional. Plenty of free car parking. We slept with the window open and had no noise issues even though we were at the front of the hotel overlooking the car park and restaurants. Not sure i would stay again due to lack of communal areas and no outside seating. There is another Premier inn less than a mile away which I would go to instead

Very good location to Ice ring Dundee and free car park . Sometime without air conditioning will be disaster in this hotel but other months is ok .

Valve for money Staff are friendly and helpful No handrail in bathroom could cause a accident because bath is very high stepping in and out

Exactly what you expect from Premier Inn. A clean room (this one was more spacious than usual), good bed and bedding, excellent towels, just what we needed. Outside the entrance to reception there was windblown trash to the side which I also remember from our last stay there so a bit of a litter trap which could do with being swept a couple of times a day and the first area of carpeting before you get to reception needs replacing but we were perfectly happy with our room and check in.

Stayed at Dundee North this time on our annual trip to Dundee. Very different hotel to the others but very good service and very clean. Shame no breakfast but Fumisho recommended the Kingsway farm house for breakfast.
