"Disgusting uncleaned rooms."
Truly disgusting! Remote control for TV was FILTHY (I'm not talking a little unwiped from 1 stay - I'm talking absolute ingrained between the buttons thick white muck that has never once been cleaned!), bathroom hadn't been cleaned, dirty toilet with pubic hair on the lid of the seat, pubic hair in the bath and on the taps, fluffy raised back mould on the bath silicone and behind the taps in the bath, dusty desk/unit, bed sheets not tucked under at the top of the bed so the mattress was all exposed under the pillows. Truly a disgrace - wouldn't even expect that standard of room from a £35 a night bargain Travelodge - ESPECIALLY annoyed about paying £100 a night for it! My husband had to immediately start cleaning when we arrived because there wasn't a SINGLE staff member around in any location nor answering the desk. The hallways on floor 2 also STANK of marijuana and every time the door was opened it suffocated our room. But the fact that the halls weren't being monitored isn't a surprise given zero staff presence in the building.
I certainly wouldn't ever return and will be ensuring I spread the word and all my evidence photos. The next morning when we were checking out we found the first present staff member and let him know about the room, nicely, and he just shrugged at us and logged the room 203 for a clean..... Shouldn't that be automatic? Wow.

"Perfect Location, great staff."
Perfect location by the Tay and easy walking into Dundee and just across the road from the railway station. Also a huge Tesco Extra within easy walking distance.
Staff were really helpful and food in the Beefeater was of great quality for the price point, my husband said the Guinness was excellent. Lovely breakfast, plenty of choice.
Pay parking is available, there is a screen in reception.
We stayed for two nights and had to change rooms after the first night as the bath was leaking.
The first room we stayed in had lovely views but was tatty in some areas, skirting boards were covered in dust and the bathroom wall near the loo roll had something splashed on it also again skirting was dusty and paint peeling off and the shower curtain smelled. The air conditioning was faulty which made the room stuffy.
Having said that the bedding was spotless and as I prefer a firm mattress was perfect for me.
We were moved to another room the next day, which we didn’t mind and it was a better room, same beautiful views, cleaner than the last room and the aircon worked well.
Our only issue was the constant noise of someone walking round the room above us, it was like a herd of elephants had booked it!

"Enjoyable Stay."
Hotel is Perfectly situated on the banks of the River Tay. Close and within walking distance of town, train station and attractions. Plenty of parking. Staff were excellent. Room clean and warm, bathroom tired. Breakfast good and dined in the evening in the Beefeater restaurant. Food was superb and very sorry to hear they are closing the restaurant in the near future.

"Great location with a river view."
The hotel is in a great location next to the River Tay, Discovery & The V&A.
Maria was on reception & was very friendly.
I was lucky enough to get a river view. The room was as you’d expect with a comfy bed & was very clean. It had been a hot week & the room had air conditioning which was perfect.
The Beefeater breakfast & evening meal were perfect.
The hotel is well located for Discovery, The V&A plus the city centre. Parking is chargeable but as it was a stay with work that’s not an issue.
All in all a good stay.
