Dundee Centre hotel

I recently visited the Beefeater at Premier Inn Dundee Central and, while the food was really good and the service from Connie was outstanding, I have to question the decision by Premier Inn to stop members of the public from dining in the restaurant unless they have prepaid for their meal. During my visit, I witnessed easily 30 people being turned away because they hadn’t prepaid. It was really disappointing to see, particularly as the restaurant was there to serve customers and there were people who clearly wanted to eat there. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching Connie deal with the constant stream of people coming through the door. She was absolutely brilliant — friendly, professional, patient and incredibly welcoming, despite having to explain the situation to person after person. She deserves a huge amount of credit for how she handled what must have been a very difficult situation. The food itself was really good, and Connie was an absolute star.

Good location, but that’s about it. Long queue to check in and only one young staff member on but I had a QR code to do it myself. Started the process however no room keys at self check in machine so could only go so far before I had to join the end of the very long queue. Was informed at the desk that the prepaid meals would be refunded within 5 days as the restaurant was shut. Not a great start. Got to my room with a lovely view over the Tay but spent the next 30 minutes cleaning my very dusty room. Overall, not great and would not return.

The place was a real letdown and it wasn't cheap,the worst part was lack of facilities that they didn't tell anyone about when booking online.and £8.80 for disabled parking next to a big dirty skip was too much.

This has a fabulous location and great views..staff are superb.. unfortunately the hotel was only superficially clean. Lots of dust in the bedroom and the bathroom barely clean..mold round bath and shower and a crazy heating system..the restaurant was tacky but the food on a limited menu was acceptable

I have stayed here before but this time I requested an accessible room because I am quite short and find your baths too high and difficult to get in and out, same as the beds. The room was fine and warm after I switched on the heating! There was an atmosphere of despondency about the place probably due to the restaurant closing and I found breakfast quite meagre as I don't eat a cooked breakfast. Sour fruit, runny yogurt and horrible croissant. I only went as it was raining and I usually get something from the local Tesco. The staff were all helpful but there was a lot of litter around the car park which I looked out on to from my room. I did tell the staff.
