We absolutely love this premier inn! We have used a lot throughout Scotland and this is one of the cleanest and friendliest. It feels like it is very new and the location is perfect, right next to the river/V&A/train station/science discovery centre... There is so much more! I would recommend you pay the extra and get a riverside room, it's stunning to wake up to! We really like the onsite restaurant, the staff are all lovely and the breakfast staff in particular are very nice to say it's 6.30am! We didn't have any troubles with noise even though it's next to a busy road. Thanks for having us!

"Visit spoilt by reservations team at HQ"
It was an excellent venue for a wedding on the Discovery and the room was good. The window with a view over the river could have been bigger. the staff at the hotel were great. Really central to the town.
Their dynamic pricing meant that some of the people we were staying with were overpriced, and when I asked about this at their HQ was told that there was no one I could talk to, they have no supervisors! Then told that I could not complain, and once I did complain I did not feel listened to.
The staff on the ground are excellent, however I dread to ever deal with central reservations again.
Scoring on hotel alone I would give a 4 or 5 but my experience beforehand with HQ sadly marred my visit.

"Give it a miss."
Smell of damp on entering the room. Skirting board and bath panel blown in the bathroom, dust all round the bed and water left in the kettle from previous guests . No phone in the room only automated service when calling the hotel and staff are hard to locate. Have complained and was told this room fell below their expected standards which beggars the question why was I charged full price for a room that should never have been in use. Won't be staying here again.

There's not really a way to tell staff on checkout that there's an issue with the room, so here we are directed to TripAdvisor. 🤷♀️
Room 208's thermostat only lets you choose a range between 25°C and 28°C. We switched it off, but sometimes it would kick in again.
We were surprised by the £8 a day parking charge, it would be nice if guests got a discount on that.
Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Everything was "no problemo".
