"Filthy, understaffed & poor customer service."
We booked a family stay at the Premier Inn Dundee City Centre and were extremely disappointed.
Our allocated room was filthy on arrival. There were crisps on the floor, toiletries left behind by previous guests, stains and splashes on the walls, dirty bedding, and the room was generally not fit for a family to stay in.
We immediately asked to move rooms. Over the next four hours we were shown two alternative rooms, but they were in a similar condition. The receptionist asked us to go for dinner while she tried to resolve the issue, but when we returned there was still no room ready. She was too busy. By around 7:30–8:00 p.m., we were told it would take at least another 20–30 minutes to prepare a room. By then our young children, including our baby, were exhausted and simply needed to go to bed.
Having given the hotel around four hours to resolve the problem, we had no option but to leave and book alternative accommodation at our own expense.
Throughout our time at the hotel, there appeared to be only one member of staff on reception, who was trying her best while dealing with a constant stream of complaints from other guests. I don’t blame the receptionist—she was clearly doing everything she could—but the hotel appeared to be severely understaffed and unable to provide rooms to an acceptable standard.
Unfortunately, we were unable to stay because the hotel could not provide a clean, suitable room with the correct number of beds before 8pm ,Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience.
Unfortunately I’ve only one photo that my wife sent after noticing the major issues.
They’ve asked me to get in touch to make it right and over email they’ve said they won’t offer any resolution. Shocking treatment of a family. Steer clear.

"Premier Inn Dundee Central"
Bed was comfortable location was good for getting out and about. The staff in the Beefeater restaurant/bar was excellent was a joy having our meals in such a friendly atmosphere especially the evening meal. Pity the outside of the hotel carpark was rubbish and litter thrown about. Was a bit off putting on arrival.

"Grubby."
It's a decent enough location, but, having stayed in five other hotels in Dundee, this is by far the lowest scoring one for me.
It's typical Premier Inn - it does what is says on the tin, but the room was shabby. There were hairs in the shower, stains on the carpet, various marks on all of the walls, the skirting boards were disintegrating. Room 21 really needs a thorough clean and needs a bit of TLC too.
On top of that - I booked the onsite restaurant for 21:45, as my flight was landing at 20:40. In fact - I only picked the Premier Inn on the basis of a later booking, as most others won't book later than 21:00 or 21:15 - making things a bit tight if you only land at the airport a short while before. Unfortunately I received a call at about 17:00 to say the kitchen closes at 21:00 and so they couldn't honour my booking! I've checked and I can still book a table at 21:45!
Anyway - disappointing, there are better hotels in Dundee for the same price.

"Dundee . The quay to success."
The Premier Inn at Dundee is ideal for its location to the station. It is well staffed and the service is superb.
The views across the Tay are really something.
