"Overnight stay"
Stayed here as we had a wedding near by when we arrived on Saturday we had a great day welcomed at reception with lovely staff then had dinner in the cotton mill and some drinks again lovely good laugh with staff and dinner was really nice.went for breakfast it was ok just continental at Buffett warm food order gets taking at table but can have as much or as little as you want.now on the disturbance after breakfast we came back to room around 9.15 went straight back to bed for a few hrs as we had late check out the alarm in our room went off at 10.10am waking us up lasted a few seconds then went off we went back to sleep got up at 11 to get showered and we get a knock on the door just as my husband got out shower around 11.10am demanding us to open door as our alarm was going off it wasn’t at this point my husband said am just out shower she again asked me to open door my man then got annoyed told her to f..k off not right a know a then said look we just getting ready to check out jf she could give us 5 minutes whilst continuing to say about health and safety if it was that important it wouldn’t have taking them an hour to come check then started accusing us of smoking in room and that’s why we wouldn’t open door told her we weren’t absolutely ridiculous honestly couldn’t believe it once we left room a was that riled so was my husband then it got a bit heated we where swearing which we shouldn’t have done but she was blatantly calling us liars a offered to walk back to room with her so she could check if there was smoking she just kept saying aye a will she wasn’t willing to walk back with me though a told her numerous times we hadn’t and we actually had a discussion about it when we checked in about people doing it we then said we will always go outside in hotels ect to smoke which we did few times when we came back from wedding talking to the other lady at reception.such a shame as everything leading up to that was lovely not once has this ever happened to us just the whole way it was played out was just wrong.

"Parking Fine"
Ok the hotel was OK. Staff helpful. Problem, I got a parking fine. I had logged in on arrival as usual. Some time later a fine. I called reception at the hotel in Kilmarnock. They said the would cancel it. They did not. I appealed and that failed. I tried to complain to Premier Inn, a waste of time, impossible to complain.
I stayed at Premier Inn in Keithley the next night, no problems.
I will probably use Holiday Inn in future as I have never had a problem with them.
So do not trust the check in system. Take a photo. Or simply use another hotal.

"A comfy night when I needed it most"
Comfortable, clean & peaceful.
A lovely girl in reception, so friendly & helpful, who was so kind when I told her how difficult my day had been & why I'd had to book myself in at such short notice.

"Touring Base"
The last time I stayed here the hotel was surrounded by open countryside - now it's surrounded by new housing! That said it's still a quiet place to stay, especially in my rear facing upstairs room. Parking was easy as the attached restaurant doesn't seem to attract as many customers as it used to it when it was a Brewers Fayre. In had breakfast throughout my 3 night stay and the servers were lovely and the cooked to order hot items were excellent. I had dinner on 1 night and the food service was quick and the meal tasty. However, everyone arriving at the check-in desk was left waiting around to be seated longer than felt comfortable.
