Kilmarnock hotel

I have currently been staying at the Premier Inn Kilmarnock now for around 9 weeks. Potentially going to be here for a length of time. After reading some reviews that have been put on here giving poor reviews, I feel I have to make my own review. From the first day I arrived here, all hotel staff have gone above and beyond to make mine and my 2 sons stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. All staff have gone above and beyond to help us in any way they can. I can't begin to thank everyone of them enough. Unfortunately the restaurant attracted to hotel is close at moment and although nothing to do with the hotel and staff at hotel I hear these staff members receive constant criticism due to this current situation which I feel is undeserved. Massive thanks to Angela, Vanessa, Nan and Geraldine and also to all housekeeping at hotel who have helped me massively through a current difficult time in my life.

The room was dirty and there was a smell of urine from the bathroom. We were refused an additional key card when there was three people staying over. We had one key card to share between 3 with the reasoning there wasn’t enough cards to go around. We asked to move rooms due to the noise from above. This was also refused with out any rationale. We were not informed that the bar restaurant next door was closed and provided no alternative or complimentary food such as morning croissants. Would not recommend this hotel. I will be leaving a bad review on trust pilot.

Very tired in need of a makeover . Room was clean bathroom was very dated and shower curtain smelt of mould . Floor and sink are very grubby . Shame restaurant and bar was closed for refurbishment. Reception staff were lovely and friendly

Booked two rooms in this hotel in June for september stay. On arrival we paid for the rooms and only then were then informed that the bar & restaurant had been closed a week before. We had looked forward to a relaxing few drinks and dinner before goinging by taxi to an evening wedding reception nearby. When we booked by telephone we were not informed that the bar & restaurant would be closed when we were staying even though they knew this to be the case.. So we paid £270 to have rooms stranded on a roundabout in the middle of nowhere!!!! Customer services were completely unsympathetic when we phoned to complain. We have faithfully used Premier Inns for many years because "you know what your getting". Not anymore1 so its Goodbye Premier Inns for us.

Stayed for the Ayr Airshow. Very impressed. Family room great. Bathroom very good. Everything exceptionally clean. Staff warm and friendly.
