Greenock hotel

Booked for 3 nights and paid £193 also booked a double bed. On arrival the room had two single beds the staff member said she would sort it. With my husband and I in the room she proceeded to strip the beds in order to put them together this was not an easy task and only with my husband having to help her ( she struggled to zip them together) they managed to fix the beds. She then had to put the bigger covers on and again with the help of us the guests wasn’t aware we had to make our own bed.The manager did come into the room didn’t help what’s so ever but did offer us a free breakfast. All in all we waited in the room for a good half an hour until it was ready for us. This was shocking service and sadly the free breakfast was not fit for purpose. The rooms are so neglected with dirty walls and windows, bed covers are so old and I assume well used. We have been told that this is due to the dinning area being demolished sometime in the future ( although staff has said this has been said for the past 3 years) not sure if it all should be demolished.

The hotel is easy to find and park when driving, but a bit out of the way to walk anywhere. The hotel is in need of modernisation and refurbishment. It's the type of hotel where you would prefer not to walk in your bare feet on the sticky carpets. During our two nights, using two rooms, one of the rooms had no heating and the plumbing did not work. The first night, the receptionist came with a portable radiator and the second day another receptionist plunged and unblocked the sink and toilet. The staff at the hotel are a 10 out of 10. They are very friendly and helpful but it is not fair for them to be used as a shield when the company should just invest some money in the infrastructure. The breakfast is no longer a buffet style and you have to ask for what you want- which makes you eat less! Which I suppose could be healthier!

We stayed at Greenock Premier Inn on the 10/11 January. As we were over to watch Greenock Morton play the Premier Inn was very convenient to the ground. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable especially the Bar/Restaurant staff. Our rooms were spacious and spotless and the excellent breakfast made our stay exceptional.We will definitely use the Premier Inn again.

Excellent stay in Greenock Premier, friendly, helpful staff. Clean comfortable room, hot shower, comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent also. Would definitely stay there again. Brilliant value for money!

We stayed on Christmas day as usual and this time they left a card and a box of chocolates which was lovely. The bed was super comfy, we missed breakfast as we slept in but we enjoyed our stay.
