"Nice and chill"
Lovely staff and rooms no issues at all, nice laidback hotel, clean rooms and it was nice and quiet. The location is great as well, I would return for sure.

"Noisy AC"
Stayed in room 503 for 1 nite only. Air conditioning made a racket and I hardly slept. There was noone in reception when we came in around 11pm so there was no point in complaining. It was making a noise in the afternoon and I should have said but stupidly I didn't think it could go on like that all day and night. The housekeeper can't inspect rooms after guests depart. Now I know that I won't be returning. On checking in our 2nd room card wouldn't print and the staff were very helpful.

"Needs attention to cleanliness"
Check in was straight forward but when we got into the room we found a jelly sweet stuck to a table & a remote control under the bed. Staff were very apologetic & compensated with free breakfast. Staff were all lovely but feel cleanliness of the hotel was quite poor

"Frequent visitor's😊"
Top marks to Jay for his welcome & pleasant manner, great breakfast, fab poached eggs & good service from restaurant manager & his team😊
In centre, close to central station, pubs & ideal location for gigs.

"BEWARE OF THE PSYCHOPATH THAT WORKS ON RECEPTION!"
First off let me just say that I have stayed here a few times and almost all my visits were pleasant. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The showers had good heat and pressure. The wifi worked decently on every floor.
However I stayed here a few months ago and had multiple unpleasant encounters with one particular staff member. Many of my friends book this premier inn every event because of its location. However after staying there this weekend I will not be coming again and I am advising all my friends not to either.
On friday when I arrived I had to wait for the person who did the booking as they had not paid. I asked to use the bag storage and got a ticket. I came back a few hours later to get something out of it.
I didn't get his name but he was about 6ft tall and had blonde/greying hair and had an accent (Swiss? German?) He was working reception and escorted me to the bag room. He kept repeating to take my bag and I had to tell him 3 times I was just getting one thing out of it and the bag was staying here. After I got what I wanted he took the bag to put it on the shelf. My laptop was in the front pocket and he was about to put it down on its front. I said "you need to flip it over" 3 times and he ignored me and dropped it on the front. I got annoyed and told him my laptop was there and it could get damaged if he did that. He responded "We are not liable if anything gets damaged" and when I informed him, he definitely is liable if I see him do it, he started to shout at me and threatened to kick me out of the hotel for "arguing with him".
He also had an argument with my roomie about bedding since there was only one bed in the room and the chaise was not made up in any way. (I had to make my own bed that night). The other girl at reception managed to deescilate the situation by interrupting their argument and just offering to bring up new bedding.
The next day he was escorting us to my friends room as they left their key inside and when my friend asked me what room I was in, he (standing behind us in the lift) blurted out the answer.
A - I dont think its appropriate for him to interrupt our conversation
B - That's a serious breach of privacy
C - How does he know exactly what room I'm in? He didn't check me in...
I was very disturbed by this behaviour.
I was busy and didn't actually use my laptop during my trip and later I discovered that my laptop WAS broken. The hinge was cracked and sometimes half the screen doesn't turn on. I contacted premier inn customer service but they were unwilling to do anything.
