"Early Check in Not Available"
Comfortable and clean room. Paid for early check in - no rooms available. Then had issues claiming our bags when we came back late at night and tired wanting to check in. Had to kick up a fuss to get a refund of the early check in fee.
"Room with a review of Glasgow"
Stayed for two nights, very few staff available to explain anything especially parking for a person with a disability. The bed was comfortable and room generally clean however, on arriving in our room we found someone had used the toilet but failed to flush which wasn’t a great first impression. Breakfast was ok however eggs were tasteless as was the bacon. Was however a large alternative of continental options.
"Good central hotel….but beware unreliable reduced car parking arrangement"
This hotel was very well situated for the concert I was attending at the Royal Concert Hall. The entrance is just a door from the main road to the stairs/lifts and you’ll need to go up to the 2nd floor to check in. Not a soul in sight when I arrived at 4.30pm but the self check in process was straight forward enough. My room was clean and spacious and the bathroom had a walk -in shower which was impressively powerful. We enjoyed a drink in the bar after the concert and it was comfortable and friendly. I didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food. I’ve always booked premier inn because of the wonderfully comfortable Hypnos mattresses. Sadly they have changed their supplier and not for the better, in my opinion. I have a bad back and these new firmer mattresses with equally firm pillows did not make for a good nights sleep. This alone will make me reconsider staying with premier inn in future. One word of warning for drivers intending to park near the hotel. I parked as advised at the Buchanan Galleries car park as a reduced fee was offered to guests. On leaving I got my car park ticket ‘validated’ at the hotel but this merely consisted of a rubber stamp on the back. I was advised to go to the office in the car park to pay but this was not open and there was not a soul to ask. I had no choice but to use the automated machine and was charged over £31.00 for my stay in Glasgow of 26 hours. Not a good system Premier Inn!!
"Dont go"
Went to hotel restaurant with a friend from the USA, had one look at chairs and carpet, and walked back out again.would not like to see the kitchen if that is restaurant. I will upload pictures.also for the price my friend payed for one night stay. And hotel wanted £15 early check in. So sat at the bar, but no staff to take order seemed to be very under staffed. Whitbread senior management need to get out from there glass towers no wonder your foot fall is going down
"Recommended"
The hotel is in a great position for the Glasgow concert hall. The room is nice and clean and a good size. Breakfast is good with a fair selection of hot and cold food. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this hotel for a trip to Glasgow
