Glasgow (Cambuslang/M74, J2A) hotel

Paid £70 for 3 hours sleep, if I was lucky.... given rooms 101 and 102 which had apparently just been renovated... rooms 101 and 102 face the M74, would expect a bit of noise....room 101 no secondary glazing, 102 secondary glazing, rooms are adjacent and both room windows face the M74.... Asked why no secondary glazing in one room but not other, "well we can't guarantee that"..... room 101 directly above the main entrance doors... 1am doors banging closed...... 4am doors banging closed hence the lack of sleep..... Reception staff recommend I contact 'Premier Inn Guest Services' who in turn contacted the manager of said hotel.... Manager basically said I was lieing, that there is no noise from the doors and tough that I didn't have secondary glazing..... I see from other the reviews that similar complaints regarding the Managers approach to customer service leaves a lot to be desired..... I'm afraid the adverts for Premier Inn unfortunately do not relate to the experience I endured, surely the fundamental aspect in any hotel is a decent nights sleep..... I would have been better off staying in my car with the lack of sleep I had, at least it wouldn't have cost me £70..... The shear lack of understanding was nothing more than 'we have you money and don't give a s***e that you didn't sleep'...... thanks Premier Inn I will think twice about using you in the future and in stead book with one of your competitors.

We had a lovely stay at the Premier Inn. The staff were incredibly friendly and were very helpful. The rooms, though part of the hotel was under renovation, were still quiet and comfortable. Definitely recommended!

Just stayed at Cambuslang for the Middlesbrough match today. The lady at the breakfast and restaurant area who lived in Guisborough years ago was extremely good and helpful. She was very welcoming and went out her way to support us and chat even though she was by herself at front of house. Please can you make sure she gets this message. You have a really good staff member there David campbell

Location was good, we were family of 4 and were only provided with 2 mugs instead of 4. The weather was hot, the room had a good fan but due to room size could have done with another fan. Other was a good stay.

This is the second time I have been to this Hotel both times id booked i was unaware of construction work being carried out until after the bookings were made despite this the construction work wasnt a problem, the problem started on arrival I had booked a twin (2 single beds room) for myself and my friend when we got to the room it was a double bed and a single bed/ sofa i went back to reception and was told I never booked the room I stated when I know I absolutley did, I was then told there was no other rooms available so had no choice to accept what was offered, both my friend and i are disabled and I found the sofa bed really uncomfortable to the point it added to my pain, on the second night I was awoken at 3am with a lot of noise in the corridor outside our room door and then for a further half hour all we could hear was the laughter of a female which was very loud i complained the next morning about it when checking out as we had a long drive back home and both of us had very little sleep only for the staff to say they had reports of some disturbance upstairs.. and sorry since I use premier inn on a regular basis and have another booking in another premier inn for next week id have hoped for a little more than sorry..there's the door attitude
