"Make sure you are comfortable with your travel partner."
The room was basic. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom wasn’t much to be desired. We had upgraded the room from the cheaper option so we had a bit more space. Bathroom needed a good clean. I am unsure who designed the rooms because there was no privacy in the bathroom at all. Glass door with 1/2 inch gap that you could see through and the mirror placed right in front so you could see the person on the toilet from the bed. The glass was only half frosted. So you could see heads. Me and my friend stayed there and I still don’t think I would have felt comfortable with my husband there let alone a friend. It made using the facilities difficult. The lights/ dimmers didn’t work. It was all or nothing. The air con constantly sounded like bubbling water. Booked for 2 adults and only had one towel and one pillow so we had to go and ask for more We stayed for 4 nights and there was no cleaning done at all. We asked on day 3 after our second night of the room could be cleaned. Mainly the bin emptied as there was only a small bin in the bathroom. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Last day I went for a coffee at 5:30 am as I was leaving early and the milk was left in the bottle on the counter all warm as it was really hot! The milk had curdled but there was nobody around to ask for fresh milk. Also bit of a pain having to go down for a brew because there are no facilities in the room.
"Great location but never again"
Good points: - Great location - Friendly cleaning staff - Building felt secure with only being accessible via keycard at night - Window blinds were sufficiently blackout - No noise from outside - shower was powerful with a good temperature range Bad points: - Cannot open windows - A/C not only won’t go below 18 degrees, but also just doesn’t work at all - no air blows out but it made a dripping noise instead - Due to above two points, room very stuffy - made it hard to sleep, worst nights sleep at a hotel ever - Cannot switch individual lights on (e.g just the bathroom light) due to control panel only allowing certain lighting settings (e.g bathroom would only be fully lit if you fully lit the whole room) - Carpets looked filthy - Had zero privacy due to window being in front of an alleyway of some kind, so had to keep blind down at all times - Very cramped for two people - Bed up against wall so one person has to crawl over the other to get off bed - Bed is very high - Tv temperamental and would disconnect randomly - Mattress is uncomfortable (too firm - personal preference) - Reception staff were miserable and unhelpful - Shower leaks over bathroom floor - Bathroom doesn’t lock properly and there is minimal privacy due to the privacy glass only going up so far (you can see into the bathroom if you stand on the bed) - Room was set up for 1 person so only 1 set of towels provided (though cleaning staff provided us with more towels on request and were very friendly) Overall this hotel is totally overpriced with facilities needing a serious review. I won’t be staying in a Hub by Premier Inn again.
"Nice place"
The room was booked by my travel organisator, so I have never choose your hotel by myself. But nevermind, the choice was very good. The location is perfect, the room was beautiful and clean, the breakfast was very good, employees were very nice and helpfull. I really had a great moment in this place. I recommend.
"Edinburgh Hub premier inn review"
Service was non existent , very much left to your own devices . We had 1 towel for 2 people for 2 nights and tried to find someone but to no avail . No option to contact reception and no one was there at any time we were there . Location good but disappointing as the premier inn could do better
"OK value for money, great location"
Budget for a reason, small room but fine for what we needed. Great location for both old and new town. I parked outside no issues (free with blue badge) Room has decent sized bed, bathroom and a TV. View from our window wasn't great but did let in plenty of natural light. Storage OK providing you don't need much hanging space, probably only 3 coat hangers in the room. Some concern about cleanliness, particularly the bathroom and extractor fan, mold and dust present.
