"Staff made our experience great"
Brilliant stay here, rooms are well thought out and comfy.
The location is great as well as the staff.
All of the staff we encountered were cheerful and helpful.
We would definitely stay here again as it was such a welcoming and cosy hotel.

"Exceeded expectations…."
My first Hub stay. Love the concept. Room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Very convenient to the train station and walking distance to all the sights. I didn’t eat but I did enjoy drinks in the bar, a great place to relax with a cocktail. All staff were very friendly. Easy check-in and check-out. Would stay again…highly recommend!

"Great hotel slap bang in the middle of the city"
I stayed here for two nights over a weekend and was hugely impressed. This hotel is clean, modern and everything is in good condition.
The location is excellent. You are right in the heart of the city with everything close at hand but it's on a pedestrianised street so there's no noisy traffic the second you step outside.
My room was very clean and what a clever room it is. There is a control panel to cover heating (simple up and down temperature with and on/off switch - no stupid, complicated heating panels like you find in some hotels) and lighting with the option of all off, low, mid or full lighting.
The low lighting is particularly good because if you wake up in the night to go to the toilet, for example, none of the lights are in your eyes. They're all low level and shielded but provide soft lighting so you can see what you're doing without waking you up. One of the lights is like a full length window with natural daylight.
There is a desk at the foot of the bed which extends out for extra space if you need it and slides away when you don't.
There are ample power sockets including one for foreign appliances as well as the usual array of computer cables etc. There is hanging space cleverly hidden behind a full length mirror, a hair dryer where you can actually see what you're doing whilst drying your hair and a good area of space under the bed to store your suitcases.
The bathroom is nice with a decent sized shower so you don't feel like you're in a phone booth.
Towels are new and fluffy.
Breakfast is a bargain £6 for which you get a choice of bread for toast (eight toasting slots available) and a variety of spreads. There are croissants, muffins, pain au chocolat, fresh fruit, yoghurt, orange juice, hot drinks... You really couldn't ask for more for the money. The breakfast area, which doubles up as a bar until 1am, is inviting and nicely decorated with comfortable seats.
Check in and check out is a breeze and the rooms are secure as you have to swipe your room key to get in the lift and to access your floor.
I found my room to be very quiet with no outside noise audible.
The room is absolutely perfect for solo travellers. Two people would perhaps find it slightly tight but it should be perfectly manageable.
Staff are pleasant and friendly and nothing appears to be too much trouble from overhearing their interactions with other guests.
Overall, I would absolutely stay here again.

"Great stay in the city centre !"
Brilliant room in the centre of the city.
Room was clean and fresh.
Bedding was on the bed ready to lay out, bottom sheet and pillow cases were on.
Hairdryer in room
Hand wash next to the sink
Body/hair wash in the shower
Towels and shower mat provided
No tea and coffee making facilities however free tea and coffee in the bar downstairs 24/7
Two free bottles of water in the room. I brought supplies !
Hangers in the wardroom area and plenty of drawers in the dressing table and under the bed which were good for the suitcases
All the lights and heating controllable from the bed which was handy too!
I requested a window but not all rooms have a window. It had a black out blind which meant a sleep in !
I also asked for a bigger room so I could move around more freely.
Did not hook breakfast but plenty were having it and it looked great.
Check in was easy and staff there to help if needed.
Bag storage was available so could leave the bags on arrival and departure so not having to carry.
10 minutes from the train station and 15 from bus station.

"Aggro Hub..."
Hassle! Not a great stay...
Two positive things - central location and the monsoon shower.
Negatives - massive queue at 3pm check-in, only one guy on reception to sort us out.
* No one on reception throughout my stay, there's a bell, but had to traipse to the bar for staff and take my turn.
* Limited space in room and I had a double! Scary glass box bathroom with a bowl shaped sink, water went everywhere when washing, no tooth mug.
* Tiniest bin I have ever seen.
* Duvet dumped on bed, kept coming out of the cover, nice firm bed but hard pillows.
* Touch screen for heating and lights, heating programme is locked and it wasn't working on my 1st night - COLD! Reported it next day, was assured it would be sorted, got back and it still wasn't working, a young guy on the bar said he'd try and reprogramme it and he also brought me a plug in heater...top man!
* Asked in bar if room could be cleaned on day 3 - 'oh yes! I'll alert the housekeepers' I was told, came back, room hadn't been touched! Went mad! A lovely lady downstairs was shocked too, she came up to change my towels and take away my rubbish, brought me a glass of Prosecco!!!
* Later that evening there was a complete power cut (not the fault of Hub), but had to go down to the unmanned reception to find out what was happening (from a guest!) After that my heating didn't work at all, thankfully had the plug in heater.
* No tea/coffee/kettle in the room, so, get dressed and trek to the bar for an early morning cuppa.
* Small window looking into a busy office, had to keep blind down.
* Few other small things, but eventually I left, drop off your key card in a box, no one on reception - BYE! Won't be back...
