"Insane price for a ridiculously small room"
£350 for 1 night in what is the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in. While it needs to be said the fringe festival and oasis were on, oasis took a hammering for dynamic pricing, however it seems premier inn did it but got away with it. The rooms are clean but we had no window and was way too small for that kind of money. If it were half that price you’d forgive it but this is silly. Personally wouldn’t stay they again but that’s on the awful value for money we experienced.
"Good hotel in quiet area"
This hotel is just far enough away from the touristy centre to be quiet, but not too far away. For a single traveller the room was with a nice big bed. I chose the breakfast which I give bonus points for having porridge and for not having eggs and bacon. I like a hotel that doesn't try to overreach and do everything. Keep it simple and of good quality. Could have used some drinking glasses and a fridge in the room.
"OK, but not great."
I'm a regular and pretty satisfied user of Premier Inn. Decided to use a "Hub" this time as the location was more convenient, and the price a little cheaper. It's not a decision I would repeat. The small saving did not compensate for the lack of tea and coffee making facilities, the confined bed, the non-functioning TV, broken blind cord, lack of full breakfast facilities. It was OK. I still got a good night's sleep in decent conditions, but the standard fell a long way short of the full Premier Inn experience.
"Good location"
If you want to just land in your hotel at 11pm, get up and leave - this is for you. I’ve stayed in Hubs before and they were fine but this one is both smaller, more expensive and less smart. No window, filthy carpet, dusty extraction fan, poky. On the plus side - lovely staff, good porridge and excellent location. The bar is nice. But at £200 per night - no. Pretty unsettling and they really need to do some maintenance and no amount of lovely, helpful staff make up for that.
"Pleasant Surprise"
The Hub by Premier Inn was actually a pleasant surprise. The rooms are small as expected, however, they are clean, modern, and have good facilities for their size. The staff are helpful, and the bar downstairs has a good selection of drinks which is nice. Slightly expensive, but you are paying for the location.
