"Terrible bedroom at Premier Inn Hub"
Terrible room. Payed a good amount for the room for myself and wife, only to find the room was so small, the bed was only accessible from one side. Not sure it should have been sold as double occupancy, or if it was, there should have been a sub note to the booking.
"Tiny bed surrounded by 3 walls"
The bed was tiny (more a single than double) and had walls on 3 sides so was very hard to get out of in the night if you were on the wall side. There was a narrow ledge in the wall, not really wide rough to put a glass of water on without fear of it being knocked off. There was a ticking noise that went on all night. The photograph of the room didn’t really show how small the bed was. The room was cramped for two people, but clean and there was a useful storage space under the the bed, the staff were friendly and helpful.
"One extra night in Edinburgh"
We needed one extra night in Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival and were lucky to find this hotel centrally located and close to the tram that takes you to the airport. It was OK - but tiny. Difficult getting in and out of bed considering I had to climb over my hubby to get out. The shower was not great as there was mold/mildew on the tiles. Breakfast, which was included, was just OK. For a one night stay, was acceptable, but would be very disappointed if we were there any longer.
"The worst and awful hotel"
The WORST hotel ever. I booked and paid for a standard room with a window, and when I arrived, I found they gave me a very small room without a window, with a dirty bathroom. I spoke with the receptionist about this situation, but they refused to solve it. Given they've already got the payment for the room, they don't care about your concerns or being uncomfortable in your stay. What an AWFUL hotel.
"A great little hotel in a pleasant location"
We had stayed here on a previous visit to Edinburgh and use the hubs in London too, so we knew what to expect. The reception staff managed to ensure my pensioner aged Mum stayed in an accessible room, which is great because the beds in the standard rooms are quite high. The hotel is not right in the city centre, but it's not too far out either and can be easily reached by public transport on either the trams or by bus. The bus stops are on the main road, and the hotel is just a short walk away on a beautiful Georgian side street. It's also handily located for Haymarket station, which is a short walk down the road, and from there you can get the tram to Edinburgh Airport. Murrayfield stadium and Edinburgh Zoo are also within easy reach. We were travelling on two day trips by train from Haymarket during our stay, and the hotel is really close by, which is good if you are getting back late. hub by Premier Inn are not a concept that will suit everyone, but I find them spot on for my needs and would recommend them to someone who wants a clean. comfortable room and isn't too bothered about the all singing all dancing hotel stay
