"I feel ripped off - this is run-down and dowdy"
Tonight I’m in a fabulous Premier Inn at Durham. It is a nicely appointed hotel with a warm welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. It justifies the room rate.
Last night, however, we had the misfortune to stay at the Edinburgh East Comfort Inn, and I am shocked that the parent company has the audacity to charge more money than tonight’s stay, for a run-down decrepit facility which is just dowdy and lacking any positive character.
They know this facility is on its knees and are about to undertake a substantial upgrade - but nonetheless they ripped me for full price in the meantime, assuming that all customers are mugs!
I did approach what I assume to have been a manager, but she couldn’t get involved in booking charge issues.
Very poor show.

Good location for driving to Edinburgh. Good standard of hotel but restaurant permanently with no nearby alternative.

Found this hotel had clean and spacious rooms. With plenty of parking for only £3.70 per night. Holyrood park is only 10 minutes walk plus a convenience store is only 5 mins walk

"Great staff tired building."
As with every Premier Inn you know what to expect and it didn't disappoint.We were here to see The Prat Pack at Edinburgh Playhouse .Very easy check-in thanks to the staff, spotless room thanks to the House keeping staff who " generally speaking " i dont think get the credit they deserve.
The Breakfast staff in the restaurant were also very pleasant and helpful, infact ALL staff we encountered were a credit to the Company. Now....the building itself, it really is in great need for a at least a coat of paint, at best a total refurbishment. Its a old building and looks it, but the staff more then make up for what the building lacks.

"Definitely worth it!"
Perfect stay at edimburgh, full of buses took us there from Princess Street in 15/17 minutes, we never waited more than 3 minutes for a bus. The beds and bathrooms we súper clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding!!
