"Very good breakfast, poor quality shower"
We had a nice stay at York Place Premier Inn. It has everything you would expect from a premier inn. Smooth self check in, comfortable beds, and a hearty all you can eat cooked breakfast. The rooms were clean and we had a wonderful view over the hills surrounding Edinburgh. The room was a bit warm, but we never attempted to play around with the air conditioning so we could’ve probably solved that issue ourselves. However, I was disappointed with the shower. It was very weak. I always look forward to a strong shower when I stay at a premier inn but this one was barely working and I couldn’t get the temperature right. I probably would stay here again given it’s handy city centre location. However I would request a room with a working shower.
"A very pleasant stay at Premier Inn York Place"
Our recent stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel boasts an excellent, very central location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city, with also buses and trams right on its doorstep to get far locations. The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist with any queries. Our room was spacious, providing ample room to relax. A few minor additions would elevate the comfort even further: - a flexible option for shower head would be a welcome improvement; - the wardrobe only had one drawer, and more hanging and storage space for shirts and general clothing would be beneficial, especially for longer stays; - for week-long stays daily cleaning is available, but this wasn't clearly communicated to us at reception upon arrival. A simple heads-up would have been appreciated. Aside from these small suggestions, we had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful too. We would highly recommend this hotel!
"Convenient although expensive"
Convienent location although not cheap especially when paying for early room entry and car parking on top of July rates.
"Excellent location"
The location could not have been better. It is within walking distance to the Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and many cafes and restaurants. The beds are sooo comfy. The rooms are clean, the desk attendants are helpful, and the food in the restaurant is very good quality. I recommend this location.
"Great location in new town"
Location excellent but having stayed at Premier Inns in the past this particular hotel is tired and the rooms need redecorating. Great for an overnight stay but there is other much better accommodation in the same same area for around same cost.
