Good Great location and clean and tidy rooms, just 10 mins walk from the train. Station and the centre of the city. Plenty of restaurants within a couple of minutes of the hotel. Bad A minor thing but when you have to ask for towels and pillow cases and you are told but the lady with all the face piercings “ hmmm I’m not sure I will try” I need a pillow case for the pillows “ may be a couple of hours” That was the only interactive with staff and a poor one and still did not get any pillow cases

"Not a pleasant stay at Premier Inn"

The check-in experience was disappointing. We arrived quite early and hoped for an early check-in, but this was only available at an additional cost, despite there appearing to be vacant rooms. Travelling with two very young children, we had expected a little more flexibility. The food was very average, particularly dinner, which mostly felt like it had come from the freezer rather than being freshly prepared. There were also very few staff available, which made it difficult to get assistance whenever needed, especially as there is no phone in the room to contact anyone directly. Unfortunately, we were unable to get a mattress for our young child despite requesting one, which added to the poor overall experience. Overall, this was not a good experience, and we left feeling quite disappointed.

Hotel is in a good location central to Edinburgh. Room had a nice view. Shower curtain doesn’t fit the rail - too short. Need more toilet paper and it needs to be on a roll not in a tissue box. Room was small for the money we paid and no comfortable seating - one armchair is not enough for 2 people. You knew two people were staying. Breakfast - not enough choice. Food on offer was edible. For the price we’re paying I expected more fruit and not tinned/frozen and defrosted. There should be melon, grapes and dried fruit. There should also be fruit tea on offer. Tables were not cleared quickly enough. What brought the score down:

This hotel is situated close to tram stop, bus station and a short walk from the train station. We were able to store our luggage when we first arrived so we could explore the city. Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious. What more could you ask for?
