Edinburgh City Centre Royal Mile hotel

Just spent 3 great days in sunny Edinburgh at this hotel which we have stayed at many times previously. The location is excellent, being so close to Waverley Rail Station but also to the Royal Mile. The room was very clean and comfortable and the corridors were very quiet. We ate both breakfast and evening meals in the restaurant where the food was very good and service was excellent, in particular to mention Suzan who was always very cheerful and helpful.

Shocking experience. Tatty room. Asked for house keeping as was staying two night, didn't happen. Complained with bar staff (there's no one at reception), the guy just said write a complaint on the website! Very very bad for the price they are charging and very poor attitude of staff.

This hotel is a very short walk from Waverley Rail Station. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. My bedroom was a ice size, clean and comfortable. I had a very good night's sleep. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and the prices are very reasonable. The choice of food at breakfast is huge, and the dinner menu has several vegetarian choices.

We recommended this hotel to family following our great stay here three years ago. I booked 4 Premier Plus rooms. Sadly the room was significantly more tired than our last visit, which was disappointing as the rooms are expensive. The windows don’t open so no fresh air, the air conditioning unit made a burbling noise all night and the room smelt slightly damp. The vinyl was peeling off the headboard exposing the foam, which I didn’t feel could therefore be cleaned effectively which was unpleasant. I did report my disappointment to Reception who just said oh dear, sorry about that. On the positive side it is a great location, very convenient for sightseeing central Edinburgh. The bathroom was clean and the towels were ok. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast arrangement works. We were attending a family wedding so we were just using it as a place to crash. It was quiet which was good and we gained easy access in the early hours of the morning with our room card. This hotel will always be busy because of where it is. We have however booked alternative accommodation for our next Edinburgh stay.

Not one if the better Premier Inns. Great Location but the person in check inn was as if he couldn't be bothered. Rooms are not serviced unless you request it but how do you know to request it. Asked for clean towels did not arrive eventually got them at reception on the evening. Tea and coffee in room was scarce. Breakfast was good. Just not as good as other Premier Inns I have stayed in. Due to the location it is expensive and think you would get better value elsewhere.
