"Okay living with a unclean room....choose premier inn"
They have not clean my room for 7 days despite repeated reminders and the staff is rued enough to tell you that they are too busy to clean your room after 5 days also.
      "Better places to stay"
The hotel is very well located to explore Edinburgh on foot or by bus. The room we were allocated (304) was clean but shabby with ripped curtains that were not changed after reporting. We stayed here for 4 nights and there is little storage for clothes. For the price we paid (£191 per night excluding breakfast) I would suggest staying at the Novotel next door which looks far superior and has gym and pool facilities. Breakfast at £10 per per person is good value, however luke warm.
      "Thumbs up to G"
Had a wonderful time at this hotel. Light in the room was not working in the room, but had a young man by the name of G helped fixed it. Such a wonderful and helpful young man. Hotel is within walking distance to the royal mile, shops and restaurants.
"Awful mattress and hilariously poor food"
The 'restaurant' food appears to be cheap frozen or tinned rubbish (the garlic and herb mushrooms were inedible hard shells containing the tiniest mushrooms I ever did see; the 'tomato and chilli linguini' tasted like Heinz tinned spaghetti hoops), and a complete rip-off. Bedroom far too stuffy, with broken air con and the world's noisiest street outside, and the mattress must have been one of the very first installed because it was way past its best. Staff were very friendly and helpful but otherwise this is a terrible, extortionately priced hotel that truly makes me appreciate my own home and bed. Shame on you, Premier Inn.
"Don't stay here...unless you are hard of hearing"
I made a mistake. I stayed here before and should not have stayed again. The rooms on one side of the hotel are over a bin area. The bins are emptied between 5.00AM and 8.00AM (Yes...not just once but a few times in that period). Unless you are deaf, you will be kept awake by the noise
