      "Awful dirty,smelly room"
So my husband has just called to tell me this is the worst place he's ever stayed in.Having driven 10 hours and wanting to settle in,he's been given an adjoining room, not great when you're on your own.The room itself is filthy, yellow stains on the bed,it stinks of pee, windows don't open.He has spoken to reception who said they are fully booked so can't change rooms.Hes not a fussy man so it must be bad,he's now going to sleep in the van rather than stay there. Also breakfast has been paid for but this particular place starts service at 8,not 6.30 like most so more wasted money as he will be leaving before that to drive the 10 hours back. Sorry but to make anyone pay for a room that's so bad and food in advance that's not accessible,is a joke.Staff couldn't seem to care less
"Cheap but very old and noisy"
This hotel was one of the cheapest to book in Edinburgh, however this is due to the poor quality of the hotel The hotel is located a few metres away from a busy railway track so is very noisy with trains travelling until 1-2am in the morning The hotel is quite old with the room having a musty odour. The hallway outside of the rooms on the 2nd floor has some sort of problem with its construction, with any persons walking down the hallway causing it to creak and crack very loudly, to the point it was preventing us from sleeping. The air conditioning is not centrally located with the room having its own air con in the unit which was very noisy in our room. We ending up having to cancel the rest of our accomodation there and get a refund as had very little sleep due to the above issues I would only stay at this hotel if you can tolerate a loud environment and musty odours but the hotel is vey sub par The staff however were lovely to deal with
"Hoping for a better stay in the future"
The FO was very friendly and accommodating. Some staff in the restaurants were quite helpful, Although the staff in the restaurant were quite helpful, they were not too friendly, frowning most of the time (no customer service) and leave the food trays empty for so long. I hope that since they would know there are guests who are still going to have breakfast and already paid for it, they would be able to anticipate if they are needing to have the food cooked ahead so the empty trays will be replenished as soon as guests come in the restaurant. Bread area had been left without replenishing croissants and pancakes. Food trays were out of scrambled eggs, sausages and black pudding. Staff at the kitchen should know this. As if they were waiting for guests to just say "that's okay or that's fine" that there were no food left for them. It's a shame because we know some Premier Inn branches are not like this.
      "Clean hotel, very friendly staff"
After stopping at many Premier Inns this is by far the best. From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel welcome. Angela is a fantastic ambassador for the company, took time to talk to us, even giving us advice on places to visit. Whole hotel was clean and quiet, lovely comfy bed. Will definitely stop again.
      "Fairly typical Premier Inn"
Very friendly and helpful staff. Floorboards creak a lot along the first part of the second floor, could be a problem if your a light sleeper. Climbing into and standing in a bath to have a shower is something from the 70's!! Free WiFi is always poor and paying for better WiFi is wrong. Close to train station, so ideal for travel into Edinburgh. Travel time is around 12 minutes. Pub next door is always useful. Food and drink is good. Would definitely stay here again.
