"BAD"
Free WiFi did not work which is unacceptable and is annoying. They are forcing me to upgrade it which is poor behaviour. 😡
"My last stay"
This will be my last stay. Rooms need updated and there was a horrible smell in my bathroom and throughout the hotel. Leaves and dirt on carpet restraunt and bar now appears to be shut for most of the day. I was informed you could only use the restraunt if you book it at the time of booking your hotel room .. as someone who had booked 3 months in advance I was unaware of this and this left me without anywhere to eat due to my plans changing . Bar staff very good however it feels like hotel is run with the bare minimum of facilities and staff which is a shame as location is good
"What has happened to Premier Inn standard"
Paid for an early entry for 11 am, to enable to be ready for a wedding at 1 pm. receptionist very unhelpful, our room was not ready and was very dismissive saying that an early entry was not guaranteed. On all my correspondence it states from 11am on the 20August. 4 of us were given a room that smelt very damp, bed looked like a teenager had made it in a hurry. Although the breakfast was good the tables still had dirty plates on them due to there only being one person doing all that was needed. There were a number of us staying going to the same wedding and had asked for 11 am entry, one couple had to get ready in the public toilets. Really bad, the whole hotel looked like it could do with some TLC. Did not expect this from a premier in, plenty of other places to stay in Inverness avoid this one.
"Premier inn Inverness west"
This premier inn compared to the ones we had stayed in the days prior to our visit to Inverness was by far the worst. Not enough staff. We arrived about 10pm no one on reception. Other families arrived similar time and all were waiting. Rang the bell and a good time after a male worker came running through apologising because he had been making beds up. We were given a room on the ground floor but furthest away which took a good few minutes walk to get to. On arriving our sink was full of water and the plug was stuck so couldn’t drain it. Had to go back down to reception to ask for it to be sorted he said he was dealing with another complaint and would be 2 minutes. Waited 15 minutes, daughter wanted to brush her teeth and go to bed but couldn’t so I went down to see if he was coming. He spotted me and said he was in his way with our ironing board we had requested. We hadnt requested an ironing board, we had asked for our sink to be unblocked. I reminded him of our issue and he said he would be at our room soon. I also requested he help put our heating on as our room was really cold. He finally turned up with a hammer and hit our plug through to empty the sink. He adjusted the heating and said he had to now go and put it on heat at reception as it currently wasn’t set to heat up the room: We got into bed and waited for the room to start to heat up. After 30-45 minutes it was still absolutely freezing no warm air coming through at all. Our noses were freezing. I went back down to reception for third time. This time a lady was on reception. She checked room temperature and the previous worker had forgotten to change it to heat, she said give it time now to heat up. We ended up putting joggers and jumpers on and getting into bed, the room never warmed up but didn’t want to be up and down all night We paid for breakfast and it was so bad. Went down around 7:30/8am all the buffet dishes were empty so had to wait for them to be refilled and because so many people waiting they had ran out again by the time it got to our turn to our food on our plates. Had to request clean plates because the plates had food residue on them. The cups, glasses and cutlery had an unclean smell to them which put us off using them. One of the coffee machines wasn’t working so everyone was queuing for one machine: No cutlery on our table or sauce so had to go and find someone to get us some cutlery and sauce. The whole thing was a shambles. Wish we had saved our money! Bad hotel, bad breakfast! Waste of £130
"Needs more staff, cleaning and investment"
I have stayed at lots of premier inns for work and leisure and they are usually of a good standard. However, I found this Premier inn to be pretty shabby, unclean and understaffed. The halls and communal areas of the hotel were quite drab and dirty. They definitely need to be refreshed and also need to be hoovered and cleaned a bit more. I stayed in an Premier Plus Room which had Ultimate WiFi included. The ultimate wifi was absolutely awful and I would not advise paying for it if it isn't already included in your room. At breakfast, there was one server who was trying her best to keep the buffet stocked, clear tables and get people seated. It's unfair on the staff member to have them doing the job of 2 or 3 people. Upside is free parking and a good location. Overall, I think the problem with this hotel isn't the failure of staff but the failure of management to provide adequate staffing and investment in the building.
