"Worst Premier Inn ever. Staff didn’t care about clients, all the staff were completely miserable to the point rude"
We were 18 mins early for book in. The receptionist gave great delight in telling us it would be £9 or £15 extra. We came back at 3 and 6 couples were Queueing up, so they had to work hard to book all in. Got to our premiere plus room to find the toilet roll holder was broken. Went down for breakfast. The table next to us needed to be cleaned up. Eventually a female cleaned the table. There was a lot of scrambled eggs and waffles on the table. There was a female jested wiped all of the mess off the table onto the floor and there it stayed. When we got to the reception about 10 mins later, the Same female who wiped down the table, was on reception. We asked for our room to be cleaned. What a surprise when we got back to our room 8 hrs later, it hadn’t been cleaned! Non of the staff smiled said hello good bye. Worst premire inn ever
"Clean Room, Bu Major Issues Elsewhere"
Our room was clean and comfortable, which we appreciated. However, there was a noticeable water leak in the ground floor corridor, resulting in a puddle that guests had to walk through to reach their rooms. This also caused an unpleasant smell in the area. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the bar and restaurant left much to be desired. Both were in a very poor state, appearing neglected and far beyond a simple clean-up. The public areas near reception were similarly unkempt. The toilet in the restaurant was particularly concerning—extremely dirty and emitting a strong odour, making it one of the worst facilities I’ve encountered. We had paid for breakfast during our stay, but the experience was disappointing. There were no continental options available, and the cooked items were limited and cold. On one morning, breakfast service was not available at all. On a positive note, the car parking facilities were good and convenient.
"Premier with a very small 'p'"
On checking in, I went for the £26 meal deal, but his wasn't explained to me. I ended up paying £9.20 for a glass of wine because the deal only included house wine. The waitress did not explain this either. Dinner was average, and breakfast options were poor. This site is in need of an upgrade. The mattresses need to be replaced, social spaces are musty & bare, and the whole place needs an overhaul. For a Premier Inn that's on the main tourist trail, it is a poor advert for Premier Inn, and one I can't see Lenny Henry jumping through Hoops to stay in.

Couldn’t fault room at all ! Service not great, staff rude and uninterested poor quality of service. Shame as I always enjoyed my stays previously .

Free WiFi did not work which is unacceptable and is annoying. They are forcing me to upgrade it which is poor behaviour. 😡

Come in the summer and the city is awash with colourful flowers too. Then come back to the hotel for tasty food at our on-site Premier Inn restaurant and a lovely comfy bed.
