"Inverness East - a bit lacklustre"
The self check in was not working and we had to wait for a staff member to arrive to be able to check in. The bedroom smelled quite musty and there was a plug in fan running, possibly to try and air the room. The room itself was perfectly comfortable and had the usual tea/cofffee/TV/Wifi - all good. The bathroom could have done with a bit more TLC. The soap dispenser was rusted and had not been cleaned and there were a few cracks in the facings. The soap dispenser was just indicative of a poorer cleaning standard - that would have been really easy and cheap to sort but the overall impression would have been better with a very small investment of time and maybe £3! Just generally of a poorer standard than we have come to expect from Premier Inn which we have always found to be very good in the past.

"Poor Management in restaurant, hotel comfortable"
The restaurant needs to be more sorted. We were staying at the hotel & asked to book a table for Sunday evening for the Roast/Carvery and we're told they couldn't guarantee there would be any left, due to the busy lunches. As it was there wasn't enough left at 6pm, which we weren't impressed by - poor management. We went to order drinks & didn't have any small proseccos left, only large bottle. Generally most bars would open the bottle & serve a glass, with the high likelihood of selling more. We then ordered our meals & were told a number of things had run out. Sunday night got quite busy during the time we were there. Poor Management.
The hotel itself was comfortable but we had to ask for things like towels & pillow cases, but that's not a big issue. Our room was a good size but lacking in amenities like a fridge. Overall it was good.

"Uncleaned room, overwhelmed staff"
Bank holiday weekend Sunday (24th May) night stay that was booked 10 months in advance.
Arrived at 8pm after travelling for nearly 10 hours, used self check in which was quick, only to find the room has not been cleaned after previous occupants have left, used beds, rubbish and bottles and a funny smell.
Reception had a queue, then lady tried to phone to see if she can book us a room at another of premier inn in inverness hotels but all were booked up. She then ended up having to clean our room with another colleague, leaving reception that had people showing up.
We finally got to our room around 9.30pm.
Room was ok, some black mould around bathroom sealant and windowsills.
Turns out some cleaning staff didn't show up as well as receptionist too, causing issues with bedrooms etc.
The poor lady deserves a medal for holding it all together and all the complaining guests or at very least a payrise! As well as her male colleague who stepped up to support with guests.

"3* hotel with a 5* price tag"
This is not the Ritz, so quite how it's nearly £600 for two rooms for two nights is anyone's guess. Paid it as we had a need to be in Inverness and it was a hotel that met our needs. It's well known that Whitbread, parent company of Premier Inn, are in major financial difficulties, but charging 5* prices for 3* hotels won't solve that. Would I stay again? Only at a lower price or an absolute last resort. The Holiday Inn nearby may be cheaper.

"Disgracefully dirty"
I’m currently staying here and omg if I could give it a zero I would. Where do I start? The place is absolutely filthy!! You can see that they clearly have a No hoovering policy, the carpets are filthy and they have obviously given up on even hoovering up. I am staying with my 10 year old son and the single bed for him is up against the window and the window sill is covered in black mould! It’s not even been wiped clean and when you have a child sleeping next to the window it’s not good for their health!! I have so far visited reception 3 times to complain and no one is ever present. I have pressed the bell 3 times and stood around waiting to complain about the mould and not one person has come out. Shocking! The carpets on the bedroom are equally dirty and also have never been hoovered, I am glad I bought my crocs as I don’t want my feet to touch the bare floor yuk. All surfaces are sticky and the bathroom also has mould. The cooked breakfast is swimming in grease and is stone cold so be prepared to eat a cold English breakfast if you booked it.
I can’t believe how much I paid to stay here, the cleanliness falls far below what you expect of a premier inn. I will be putting a formal complaint in. The only thing good about this place is the location with easy enough links to get about but for what I paid with the usual expectation of clean standards Premier Inn usually has I am actually in disbelief you’d expect this to be a cheap nights stay. Environmental health ought to inspect this place with the damp and mould in fact I might even write to them.
