Inverness East hotel

The dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. I am a sales rep and have stayed in hundreds of hotels. First time I think I have complained, I was told, “we are short staffed and it is what it is”. I took a video from my room to reception, the carpets were full of litter, hair, food, toilet paper and leaves. Disgusting. Found a hair clip lying on bedroom floor along with litter and a toenail. Just avoid this place.

Easily reached from railway stn on no 3 bus . Friendly reception and very comfortable room with tea and coffee. Clean and comfortable bed Handy for all hospital facilities

The family room is not a family room, it’s a standard double with 4 beds shoe horned in! Upon arrival we were told the restaurant and bar area won’t be open tonight so we have to find somewhere for the family to eat in a place we are not familiar with!

We stay in Premier Inns often with our kids as they generally offer a good family room setup with a double bed for the adults and 2 single beds for the kids. Unfortunately this visit was not only worst Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed at but perhaps one of the dirtiest hotels rooms I’ve ever been in, and I have travelled all over the world and stayed in Hostels in places like Turkey and India. The level of dirt and grime in the rooms was shocking. It wasn’t simply a few missed spots after the last guest. This was months of neglect by housekeeping. There were thick layers of dust and food scraps in one corner. A massive spider and web in another. The grouting around the bath was black with mould and there was old toothpaste smeared along the sink. We literally didn’t take our shoes or socks off until we were on the beds in fear of walking on the floor. We laid towels on the floor for a clear path to our beds after showering in the morning. In addition breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was mediocre to say the least. The room was freezing, the food was barely warm. Not up to the usual good standards of a Premier Inn breakfast. By pure coincidence 2 other families we knew were also staying in this property and we asked them how there rooms were and all said the same as us. Disgusting. Now, for fairness and clarity the staff were fantastic when we brought up the issues. They were apologetic and explained that they have had major staffing issues over the summer and simply haven’t been able to clean rooms properly. The housekeeping manager told me they’ve been told to use robot vacuums (presumably to save time) and these can’t get into the corners. That doesn’t excuse them, or make up for the bathroom though. Premier Inn as also refunded my stay which is a nice gesture - I’d have been happy with a 50% discount as we did stay the night and use the room, albeit we had no choice as everything else was booked up. A real shame as the hotel is decently located by a retail park and has good access to the main road if travelling by car. I’ll never stay here again, and it’s shaken my faith in the usually decent Premier Inn brand.

This hotel was chosen for proximity to the hospital and A9 road. Early check-in worked fine and the car park was a good size so no worries about finding a space. The rooms were clean and had clean bed linens and towels. There was no noise during the night and the heaters worked. The 2 staff members we met at reception were polite and friendly. My gripe: I don't like the bath/shower inside bath at all. Grouting and sealant appearance quite soiled with black mould. Also there is no luggage rack. However we agreed we would stay here again, as location for us is spot on.
