      "Don't go here!"
We were given Room 1. DON'T EVER LET THEM GIVE YOU THIS ROOM as it is immediately next to the fire door between Reception and the main corridor to most of the rooms, and was opened and slammed shut endlessly until after well after midnight and from 5.30am , meaning we had a very bad nights sleep. Complained to Reception before breakfast, and was given number to complain, which we did, but in spite of the Premier Inn promise, was told we would not get a refund. Why not ? It was an issue that directly relates to the layout of the hotel ie within Premier Inn's control, and was NOT an issue that they could not control. The person in complaints said we should have complained earlier, but at 5.30 unsurprisingly we were trying to get some sleep, and in any case it was not something the staff could do anything about as it would have been illegal to prop the fire door open, which would have been the only thing that would have stopped the endless slamming noise. The staff themselves said they thought Room 1 should have been made into a store room as they knew it was very noisy for guests. And yet no refund. We used to like Premier Inns but together with our experience of the Inverness East hotel 10 days later (even worse) we won't be booking again.
"Hotel needs to engage a cleaning service of the room once customer checks out."
The bedding was good ,have complaint regarding the cleanliness of the room and drawers. Found pair of socks other side of the bed left by previous occupant, few cereal crumbs when kids opened the drawer ,behind the TV is a big pile of dust accumulated.
      "Filthy room"
On arrival the self check in did not work and the queue to check in was very long. Once we got to our room, we found the sink in the bathroom was filthy, the floor had not been washed and the room had deep dust on many surfaces and the carpet had not been vacuumed. We did complain and the receptionist said that as we had a twin room it would be difficult to move us, she made no other attempt at resolving the issues we had mentioned. I put in a written complaint to guest services, who then said we had declined moving rooms so had accepted the dirty room! We will not be staying at a Premier Inn again.
"£209 for a STANDARD room in a Premier Inn? Really?"
A STANDARD room in a Premier Inn for £209? Wow. And not even a bottle of water. Slow WIFI (upgrade for £5!!!!!) I understand 'dynamic pricing' but even OASIS wouldn't push the price that far. Not the best welcome, only one towel, not enough pillows. £209? No thanks....never again. £70 tops.....
      "Not the greatest Premier Inn"
I would echo the findings of others in that it is not the greatest of PI's. Our spare pillows lacked covers and reception was left unmanned and the call bell unanswered so failed to get said covers. The room was extremely hot ( the air con actually has a sticker saying it cannot cool the room) but also the window did not open as locked and no key. This is a large sprawling PI with a high turnover of rooms which needs someone to take ownership of in order to raise its standards to an acceptable level.
