Inverness East hotel

This hotel was chosen for proximity to the hospital and A9 road. Early check-in worked fine and the car park was a good size so no worries about finding a space. The rooms were clean and had clean bed linens and towels. There was no noise during the night and the heaters worked. The 2 staff members we met at reception were polite and friendly. My gripe: I don't like the bath/shower inside bath at all. Grouting and sealant appearance quite soiled with black mould. Also there is no luggage rack. However we agreed we would stay here again, as location for us is spot on.

Location was perfect, right by the A9 and easy access from/back onto the trunk road. Atmosphere- just the usual neutral feel from a premier inn. The restaurant adjacent though was welcoming and every accommodating of the group. Rooms were fine, although the shower enclosure and silicones seams could have used a clean. Value - little. At £182 for the night ( if I booked the same night 24 hours prior, it would have been £150…) I felt utterly fleeced. The icing on the cake - no cooked breakfast the following day. This seems to be a recent feature with premier inn over recent years - absence or inability of cooks to cater. Our group booking was secured by one of the members travelling with us - as if £182/night wasn’t bad enough, they had also taken and refusing to refund the fee from the card he used to secure the rooms. Disgusting behaviour, I’ll not be using a premier inn again.

A very dirty, uncared for property. Corridor carpets filthy, bathroom tiles mouldy, discarded contact lens lying on dusty bathroom floor. And shocking customer relations - could not care less.

Cheap hotel - comes with the cheap reputation. Have to ask to get your room cleaned asked 3 times in the week and only got it cleaned once. Restaurant also under staffed and unable to accommodate people who had not booked even if the pub was completely empty. Couple of the staff young man and lady on the front desk where apologetic and helpful with fetching new towels ect but other than them very disappointing. Get what you pay for I guess.

Checked in late (9pm) to find smears of faeces on the sheets. Located a member of staff who then had to come into our family room (with 2 children) and change the bed sheets. Staff member seemed overstretched and frazzled so did not complain at the time and contacted Premier Inn online. Was told as we had received new sheets, the matter was closed. Overall, hotel is looking tired and in need of desperate clean and decorate.
