"Pleasant stay, but there's room for improvement."
Good location, near the city centre and in a quiet zone. Friendly and helpful staff. However, I found it slightly below the standards of other Premier Inn hotels I've stayed at. Check in is not allowed before 3 p.m. If you need it earlier, you're charged £15. They have a little restaurant, very cozy and with a good menu; however, if they've got a big group reservation, you can find restrictions when you want to book yours, even if you're on a meal deal. Rooms are very clean, but sometimes housekeeping isn't done because they are very busy. I'm sure these issues could be worked out by engaging more staff.
"Standard Premier Inn"
Fairly standard Premier Inn - it does what it needs to do. The location is the highlight. We were lucky to have a 3rd floor room which provided an outlook over to the castle. Was disappointed that parking was GBP 14 per night. This could have been clearer on the website and should have really been complimentary for guests. Rooms clean and spacious. Reception tired but didn't sleep there.
"Premier #3"
Staff great! Room nice and clean. Room had Air conditioning, but it did not work very well. Worked with staff to try and improve it. Inn faces the river. Food in the restaurant was good.
"Not So Happy"
Limtied parking, search parking nearby before travel. Incorrectly advised to park in front (loading bay) by reception staff despite explicitly asking about the place and got PCN. Staff changed next morning so does the advice. Staff become defensive than apologistic. Room, Breakfast and other experience was OK.
"Very Happy with this Hotel!"
Excellent location and breakfast. There was some counter space, hooks as you enter and shelves. The room had 2 chairs and good lighting. Negatives: Their restaurant is not open on the weekends. The shower is inside a tub that is high off the ground, which could be difficult for some people to navigate. Water temperature and heat in the room was tricky to control.
