Inverness Centre (River Ness) hotel

I stay in hotel room 7 to 8 weeks a year. I love that This is a well planned room. A large desk area with a fridge underneath that keeps things ice cold. A huge TV, USB ports everywhere, and a comfortable bed. I love how the bathroom has a soft light option for at night instead of the blaring glare of bright lights at 2 AM. The towels are large and absorbent. They do have the shampoo/body wash all in one which I dislike. But we all know by now to bring our own. The staff has been nothing but kind and helpful and their chicken Caesar salad is one of the best I’ve had. The only negative thing? They do NOT have Sky sports channel. If you’re an American that needs their baseball or football, I strongly advise getting the MLB app and for football the DANZ app. I was able to watch the Brewers play on my phone, and NFL Redzone on my tablet. I’m taking a Rabbies three day tour and the meeting spot is a five minutes walk away from the hotel. While the hotel cannot store your luggage, Radical Storage is a five minute walk away with great reviews and kind people there as well.

Check in was ok, once the automated machine stopped working & we got to speak to a person. Room was clean & bed was comfortable. Bathroom had clearly visible mould. Servicing of the room was poor, nothing was wiped down & the bed was not made properly. Breakfast was the saving grace, very nice food!

Excellent location near everything. Large Tesco grocery store nearby for food. Friendly reception but the staff was often away from the front desk. The room we had at the front of the hotel on the third floor was quiet and clean but the public areas, mostly carpeted, were not very clean. The eave over the front entrance had badly peeling paint so the first impression before getting to our room was disappointing. The Ultimate Wifi for which we had to enter a specific voucher code each day was reliable and speedy. There was a door to the balcony but it it condemned or rather restricted so you can't go outside and the balcony itself is occupied by pigeons and weeds.

Hotel reception was being refurbished when we arrived - staff went out if there way to make check-in run smoothly and a lovely friendly welcome.

Stayed here to attend a family wedding at the Townhouse. Location was fabulous with only af 4 minute walk across the bridge to shops and restaurants. We booked a premiere room because we wanted the guaranteed use of an ironing board which was included in the room itinerary but not for the basis level rooms. However the ironing board cover was extremely dirty with a nasty brown stain on it which made me not want to iron my new dress on it. Also the hairdryer was poorly designed, attached to the wall with a lead so short that I could not reach around to dry the back of my head. As such you were forced to stretch the lead as far as you could which had resulted in previous damage to the wall connector which meant the hairdryer cut out whenever the lead was stretched. Really annoying as I wanted to look my best. Toilet seat was wonky and toiler roll holder facing down towards the floor and almost coming of the wall. My son had room 219 which was smaller but much nicer, and the hairdryer was designed better. Wished I hadnt paid more for the premier room. The entrance to the hotel lobby absolutely stinks of fags, its like wading through a virtual ashtray. The back stairs carpeting is dirty and more like a bingo hall. If Premier Inn was prepared to invest a bit of money in the place it could be fantastic because of the location. At the end of my stay I fed back my issues to Dean , the Manager who is lovely and very friendly and he said he was recording my issues on a maintenance log for the room. So to summarise great location but said tierd room.
