"Disappointment at Premier Inn, Inverness"
We stayed at the Premier Inn Inverness, River Ness location for 2 nights 10 and 11 June, 2025 (Room 228). We used the auto check-in (a staff member was available some of the time) which indicated there was a fault and unable to check us in, then it produced the ticket with our room number on, so all was good. The room was to the rear of the building which was OK. There were areas that needed dusting in the room, which I found strange for such a busy Premier Inn. The bathroom lacked a towel rail and there was only 1 hand towel. We paid for breakfast the first morning as ate out that night. We decided we would have the meal deal, so dinner on 11th and breakfast the next morning before we departed for home on 12th. We were given no indication of when the monies were to be paid. The member of staff who took our order checked with us that we were on the meal deal but did not mention payment. We had a lovely 2 course meal and sat chatting with our friends. They went to their room before us. We took our glasses back to the bar at about 10:45pm and were presented with a bill for 2 x meal deals. We assured the barman we would pay in the morning at check out and that the bill needed to be halved as our 2 friends stay was a separate booking. The barman demanded it had to be paid before 11pm as their accounts close and monies cannot be carried over. We went to our room. A manager came to our door and demanded we go back to the dining room and pay our part of the bill, which we did willingly. They did the same with our friends who were already in their bed (I had told the manager and the barman this may be the case). Our friends paid their bill at their room door, All of this could have been avoided if the person taking our food order had told us about the payment procedure or that monies can be carried over to the next day and pay on check out. Please take note Premier Inn as this was 30 minutes of unnecessary stress and spoilt our 2 day break in Inverness.
"Friendly, welcoming Premier Inn."
I booked a premier plus room and was pleasantly surprised. I stayed in room 105 which was like a mini apartment, the room had extra little luxury touches such as espresso coffee machine, mini fridge, complimentary water, chocolate, luxurious bathroom toiletries. There is a walk-in shower and spacious bathroom. My room overlooked the river Ness. All the staff are polite, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is able to accommodate early check-in if required subject to the availability of the rooms which I think is fair enough. As a solo traveller, I can recommend this premier hotel in Inverness. The meal deal is good value with plenty of choice.
"Most impressed with it"
My time here was very good. My room was first rate. Room 206. The restaurant was very good Only minor thing when having breakfast there were no trays available to put all the items for breakfast on it, to then take it to my table. If coming back to Inverness I would be very happy to stay here again. All staff I encountered were excellent
"Not a lot of street appeal, but a good location and good value."
Generally very good and a good value. We only spent a night there, and frankly thought we were staying at one of the other Premier Inns in the area, but the location of the "Center River" hotel was convenient and close to downtown, and also to pubs and other entertainment. We opted for the Dinner/Breakfast option and found it to be very good, and frankly simple if you've just flown in to Inverness. Our room was comfortable and clean.
"Good nights sleep"
I was in Inverness for a fishing trip and wanted to be near the town centre. This hotel is right beside the main bridge in town and the River Ness. Lovely views of the castle lit up at night. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I slept well.
