Inverness Centre (River Ness) hotel

Excellent location but the whole place needs refurbishment. Carpets on the stair are torn and dirty, the facade is very tatty. One room was very dirty such that we wrote 'dirt' on the carpet with a finger. This was later resolved following complaint. The car park is very small and usually full.

Overall overpriced and disappointing! Worst experience at a Premier inn. Good location for accessing city centre, shops, local attractions. Terrible atmosphere! It was very off-putting, the staff were rude and inattentive - did not make you feel welcome. When we checked in, the girl at reception was abrupt and only told us where the stairs and lift was. We did not get a thank you or enjoy your stay, she seemed uninterested. The young women working there while we stayed did not smile, have manners or make us feel welcome or like valued guests. At breakfast we were asked our room number by the young girl and left to figure out how things worked on our own, not a great impression. The same young girl continued working around us and other guests with a very poor attitude and was scrolling on her phone and chatting to her colleague instead of checking on the guests who were dining. We watched her treat other guests the same as us, it was appalling! The breakfast itself was okay - but they definitely need more options, especially for vegetarians/vegan/gluten free and staff need to be refilling and ensuring there is enough fresh and hot food available. Again the cost of staying here is not reflected in the service or quality offered! The room itself was average - needed a deep clean and more finishing touches and details - especially considering the cost! It was lack lustre. As another reviewer said looked like the entire hotel needs a refurbishment especially being located in the city centre, it needs an uplift. There was rubbish on the roof outside our window - bottles and a pair of underwear - charming! There were stains on the wall, mould build up in the bath/shower, streaky glass and mirrors, worn carpets, the TV did not work, the signal was very poor so it kept cutting in and out. The room was very warm and the AC didn't seem to work effectively either, we had to leave the windows open overnight. The glass mugs given to drink out of were very scratched and it looked awful - should have just stuck with ceramic or replace the glasses - for what we paid, we expected better standards. You are offered the basics of tea, coffee and kettle, and hairdryer. The bed itself was comfortable and the bedding felt clean and extra pillows were offered alongside another bed and duvet should more people be staying in the room. The towels were clean and presented nicely - so this was one positive. The noise was to be expected for a busy hotel, however, I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful stay - we didn't get a great sleep as there was constant noise below us and in the hallway, despite the bed being comfy. Overall, we were quite disappointed in the standards, service and quality at this Premier inn and advise the management to speak to their staff about their lack of customer service skills.

SO DISSAPOINTING. The standard has dropped dramatically since I last stayed . The room was dirty. The carpets are worn and frayed. The entrance is dreadful with pealing paintwork. The bar closed early. It is in need of a serious refurb. Seriously over priced for the standard provided. The ONE and ONLY positive is that the staff were all friendly and helpful.

City centre hotel. Typical Premier Inn. However overpriced in comparison to others, this probably down to the fact it is central and it was the height of the tourist season. Biggest fault the dining room for breakfast was understaffed, the hot food was not replenished quickly, plates not available etc. This could have been solved with more staff and more than one breakfast cook. Poor management to blame.

Super cozy hotel with great rooms and bathroom! Me and my sister absolutely loved it. It’s in a great spot to many things in town-a short walk across the street from many restaurants and stores. The rooms were comfy and very spacious. Also really liked the check in kiosk in the front, very easy to use!
