"Second visit and sadly still not good."
We visited this hotel as few years ago. Sadly things have not improved. We booked a plus room on a room only basis as the restraunt was rubbish last time. The room was nice and clean and modern. The plus rooms are on the first floor at the end. The room has a mini fridge and tea and coffee. The bathroom has a big walk in shower and shower gel and shampoo. You can tell where the plus rooms start and end by the state of the paintwork in the corridor. The corridor were not cleaned properly as I observed the same bit of rubbish on the carpet for 2 days. This was despite a member of staff hoovering the area. It is looking very tired now is the hotel and needs a refurb. The restaurant is apparently undergoing a refurbishment but I can't deny or confirm that as we avoided it. Im not a food snob but costs are being cut and that ends up with rubbish ingredients. I have found this the case in a few premier inns now. Rooms are not cleaned daily which I have no issues with. When I tried for a refresh on one day I gave up waiting at the reception after 10 minutes of pressing the help button. The parking is free for your duration but you have to put your car reg into a touch screen which wasn't working when we arrived!. It did start working about 30 mins later so hopefully I haven't got a parking fine when I get home!. My top tip for this place is book room only and a plus room and you won't be too disappointed. There are plenty of places to eat nearby.
"Very pleasant stay in Premier Inn in Fort William"
We stayed 4 days in Premier Inn (29 July-2 Aug 2025) and had a wonderful time. The location is superb - 2 min.-walk to the bus station; 3 min. to the train station; 1 min. to a major grocery store, 5 min. walk to High Street, a tourist area with all the restaurants, cafes, museums, gift stores, etc. The room in which we stayed is in the newly renovated wing of the hotel. It was big, clean, very well appointed, had great furniture and really cool lights, air conditioning, a mini fridge (very quiet). The view from the window was super nice. The reception staff were all amazing friendly people who would go out of their way to be of help. If I were to spend time in Fort William again, I would definitely stayed in this hotel. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow but that didn't bother me much since we were in Fort William for the outdoors and didn't need to watch films or play video games.
"Overnight stay"
We stay at Premier Inn a number of times throughout the year. We have never had any complaint until this visit. Last year this hotels restaurant was closed, this year we were told we could not book a table and were discouraged to going because there was only one chef and one waitress. The room was large and clean and as always had a comfortable bed and bedding. The heating wasn’t working and the tv remote had no batteries in. There were no drinking glasses. The breakfast was adequate. Although a little greasy and the mushrooms were really a bowl of what looked like uncooked mushrooms not even sliced. We had tried phoning the hotel the day previous but no reply. On leaving when we left our key there were two staff on reception who didn’t interrupt their conversation to acknowledge us.
"Unfortunately not up to today's standards"
The facility is worn, outdated, getting on in years, the room smelled unpleasant. The staff is polite and friendly. Free parking +
"Not worth it"
This premier inn is in desperate need of a refurb. Tired and scruffy. Bedroom small and not up to scratch. Paint peeling and badly recovered. Toilet seat coming off loo and incorrect size. TV remote broken. No hooks anywhere. Lino in bathroom coming up. I stay at a lot of premier inns and this was the worst I've experienced. We paid over £400 for two nights and it was certainly not worth it.
