"Good stay"
Was apprehensive about staying here after reading reviews, however had a great stay. In agreement with some reviews, the communal areas of the hotel definitely need addressing. The signage, carpets, stairs, walls and skirting are in need of deep cleaning and maintenance. The reception area is too small to cope with the number of guests checking in and the small of old cooking oil from the restaurant next door is overpowering when walking past. The reception staff were ok, but as usual with Premier Inn it was the housekeeping staff who were fabulous - always friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. However our room, a Premier Plus, was worth the extra as most negative reviews seemed to be from the standard rooms. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a lovely view of Ben Nevis. My only niggle was some mouldy grout in the shower but again, easily remedied by a bit of deep cleaning. We didn’t eat in the onsite restaurant (to be honest the smell put us off even for breakfast) but there are plenty of places within walking distance. Would stay again if in the areas.
"Two night stay"
A large hotel but sat nav never quite found it. It’s close to the railway station though so we picked it up from there. The room was pleasant enough but I think the whole building could do with some TLC. Staff were very polite and helpful. We stopped for two nights, one being Saturday. We were disappointed in the restaurant Saturday evening as they had no steak, mixed grill or gammon. As we had purchased the meal deal we were a little disappointed with this. The bar was limited with draught beers. Just Guinness and a lager no other draught beers were available.Breakfast was good, help yourself to eggs, bacon etc. Check out was easy and quick
"Not the best night's sleep"
The bed and pillows were terrible in this Premier inn, although there are positives as clean , the staff on reception wonderful, location is within easy walking of the town
"Decent experience 😊"
A bit dated Ground floor room (no. 12) spacious but far too warm. Unable to turn thermostat down. Had two electric fans on all night but couldn't sleep. Pillow a bit hard but other than that it was okay. Great bath and shower. Room Very clean. Kettle etc. Bar area was nice, didn't try food Great late check-out at midday Good location minutes walk from shops, restaurants and bars
"Management should be ashamed!"
Food was disgusting. Staff were even ashamed to bring it out of the kitchen and could not excuse it. Cold, rubbery, colour of old oil. Cooked Breakfast then cancelled due to staff shortages. I suspect the chief walked out due to all the meals sent back the night before. What had happened to Premier Inn. Used to be the only chain I would stay in, but never again!
